“What a waste of money!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2010

My wife and I ate there once 2 years ago, and the experience was so bad I remember it like it was yesterday. To higlight the lowlights... being seated immediately, but having to ask for menus after 20 minutes of waiting for a server to come by... never being told of any specials (though most tables around us were)... ridiculously slow drink service... being given a bill that included another table's drinks.... Complaining to the manager, and getting no sympathy or apology after a totally lackluster meal.

Look, if I was only spending $8/person, I would have grudingly accepted the TERRIBLE service. But, when you spend $50+/person, you expect better, and this place was disappointing beyond belief.

Also, before you dismiss my review as "one bad experience", I can assert that others that I know whom have eaten there have had equally disappointing experiences.

“Great Local Restaurant in Melbourne Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2010

I had a dinner for 7 - celebrating several anniversaries. It was very hard to track down a "high quality" restaurant in the Brevard County area - one which has great ambiance, food and music, etc. Since I used this site to find it, it is only fair to give it a review.

The restaurant is in a small remodeled house - sort of a bed and breakfast style house. It was well decorated inside with white tablecloth service. Very neat little place with lots of ambiance.

Our waiter was very good - very attentive and made our evening special. The food was all very good - one had Oysters Rockerfeller as an appetizer which he said was excellent. I thought the salads were small and unimaginative for the price of $7.00. One in our group got a spinach salad which was made tableside - don't remember the price - but they said it was very, very good.

The entree's - all fish entree's were excellent. I got Sea Bass which was outstanding. The two steaks ordered were not as good - one was OK (the filet). The ribeye should have been sent back - it was a bit tough and flavorless. But we were celebrating - and did not want to put a damper on the evening. Prices are very high - probably too high for the area and the quality. But frankly there aren't many options for a nice restaurant to celebrate at.

Wine list was pretty good and good choices and prices were actually pretty reasonable.

The evening ended with a stop at the piano bar in the main lobby. Had a great time there. The bar is very nicely decorated. The trio was great - definitely added to the fun of of the group. Bartender and waitress in the bar weren't very friendly. But the other customers more than made up for that - we all had a good time together taking pictures, chatting, listening to the great music and a bit of dancing in a small open area.

Overall a great experience and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for something different. I hate most chain restaurants, so you have to give extra points to a local doing a "local restaurant". It was really a great evening.

“Absolutely Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2010

If you are looking for an upscale dining experience that is truly fantastic, then look no more! Djon's Steakhouse is a breath of fresh air in today's straight out of the box, cookie cutter restaurant scene. From the moment you walk in, you know you have found something special!

The wine list is very comprehensive and features over 350 different selections. The menu featured your traditional steakhouse fare: Prime Angus Beef, Veal, Lamb Chops, Caribbean Lobster Tail, and Fresh Fish. Service and Atmosphere were both well above par, and most seats in the house offer a stunning view of the inter-coastal waterway!

Desserts, while nice, were of small portion - but after a meal like that, who has room for a big dessert?

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an elegant evening out, dinners with business associates, or special events - you cannot go wrong!

“Stop ripping me off, and stop hugging my girlfriend..........”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2010

Come on Djon - how about you either cut your prices or start serving real portions and stop ripping everyone off with your fake accent, your cheesy ambiance, and especially your unseemly and wholely inappropriate affection for your patron's female companions. The portions you serve are so miniscule as to be laughable - guess that is you laughing at your clientele who try so hard to be cool while snacking on food that while prepared well, lacks any pretense of value. Your kitchen cannot keep up with a busy night; you serve really small portions; your prices are way over the top for what one gets; your entire experience reminds me of a bunch of clueless "beautiful people" trying to be cool. Not a good place for people who care about the entire quality of the evening when dining out - my money is hard earned, and I won't be taken advantage of anymore.

“Probably the best overall dining experience in Melbourne Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2010

This was our second visit to Dijon's, and we were not disappointed overall. The service was excellent, and the quality and preparation of the food is better than anything you will find in the area. We will definitely return and would recommend it to others.
