We have only been to the Taste of India for their lunch buffets, but we have been going there somewhat regularly since 2004. The selection is broader on the weekends, but even weekdays have a good range of tasty dishes with at least four veg selections, tandoori chicken and other non-veg dishes, nan and usually gulab jamun. On weekends, the staff makes dhosas fresh for you. We also enjoy watching the big screen tv with music videos from Bollywood movies. If you do not want to watch the song and dance, don't eat in the buffet room. The decor is a little startling (lamps!) but the new ceiling panels are beautiful. The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. The only serious negative is the state of the restroom.
