We were in the St Cloud area today, we decided instead of sitting in the traffic on I-4 we would take a drive across state route 192 and have dinner with JB's son Jeff. Usually when we are in the Melbourne area we do Japanese, or Seafood. No Japanese or Seafood this time, Jeff recommended a place called Cheddar's he had eaten there before and said they made a good Monte Cristo with black raspberry preserves. For a Tuesday night at the end of the month and children just getting back into school Cheddar's was busy we had a little wait but it was not to bad considering how busy they were. We were seated by a hostess who was very nice. Our server was pleasant but not as attentive as we would have liked, but as I said the place was busy. The three of us had the fruit infused tea I had peach, JB and Jeff had the mango. "Thirst quenching delicious." I had a Monte Cristo with coleslaw for my side, JB had a cup of Chicken Tortilla soup, Monte Cristo, and black beans as his side, Jeff had a side salad with honey French dressing and Chicken with Waffles for his main dish. Let me just say that the portions were above average in size and priced just right. The taste of the FOOD... Was SCRUMPTIOUS! I was not expecting such a delicious meal, the drinks, and food were fresh made and really tickled the palate. We definitely will dine at Cheddar's again and again when we are in the Melbourne area unless they decide to open a Cheddar's closer to us. Thank you Cheddar's for a GREAT dining experience.
