“Good food, miserable bartender”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

We stopped for appetizers and drinks on a Fri afternoon. The starters were very tasty, but we had a female bartender who was quite ornery. We were an older, quiet foursome, but she had it in for everyone at the bar that day. Too bad!

“Who Doesn't Like Carrabba's?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

We dine here as a family. Our grown kids love it. Try the Sausage and Lentil soup or their Mussels in white wine. Casual, popular, often crowded and a bit noisy. You can't go wrong in this small restaurant.

“Very disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

Change in the menu not so welcomed. Too many customers per wait staff. Use to be a go to restaurant.

“Decent food, bad service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014

Consistent decent food. As usual they were busy but not excessively slow. Our waiter was very slow to bring us menu, bread, water, and wouldn't take our orders til we flagged him down a couple of times. Halfway through the slow meal he said he had been very busy with a prior table. He said we now had his full attention and that things would be better. (Please note we never complained at this point.) Despite his comments service continued to be bad. We had to repeatedly ask for our order of wine that we had requested and dessert order/cheque requests were slow too. Usually we tip well even if service is so so. But this time we only tipped 10-15%. If I were only rating on food I would give it four stars. But service really brought the stars down.

“You Could Do Worse”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

In the realm of Italian chain restaurants, you could do much worse. All the staff was friendly and welcoming. Service was fast and attentive.

My niece had Fettucine Alfredo. Perfect al dente pasta with a well-balanced sauce. Nice portion size meant pasta for breakfast.

I chose the grilled chicken with a side of veggies. The chicken was marinated with Italian seasonings and grilled just a tad too long. Juicy chicken goodness was replaced with just a little too much knife action required to get through a slightly leathery slab. The flavor was ok but a minute less on the grill would have made a huge difference. The side veggies included plenty of well-cooked broccoli which happens to be one of my fave veggies, so all in all, I'm not complaining.

My one gripe? Nearly every table is a high 'harvest' table with stools. I'm very aware this is the cool new dining concept, but it's totally uncomfortable if you are short, and I am. Just getting on the stool and then getting close enough to the table to be comfy requires a few years of gymnastics training. If you're a lady wearing lets say a cocktail dress and heels, then you'd better have a gold medal in pairs skating because you're going to need help getting up and down without exposing yourself to the other diners. Once on the chair, the rungs were so low that my feet dangled like a 2-yr old's in a high chair. Hardly a pleasant experience. And yes, there were a few low tables but those were all occupied which pretty much implies that most people, when, they have a choice, will pick the low tables.
