“Great Primitive Camping (with Sea Fishing)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

We visited this campground with our Scout Troop, and found the primitive camping grounds (the Marina location) to be great.

There are about 10 camping sites at this location that back up on to the doc. There is running water, a single bathroom, convenience store and a shower (outdoor / cold).

The camping sites are all equipped with a camp table (seats 8 kids or 6 adults) and a fire ring. All are separated with fence between sites.

Nice walking / nature trail, and a nice bike trail to go with it.

From this location the inlet is about a mile to go fish, or you can just walk across the street, over the dunes and be on the Atlantic ocean beach.

Great location, good facilities, especially if you like to Fish.

“If you are looking to camp near some great fishing this is for you”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

We camped and fished here in November. My husband caught a nice Red Drum in the inlet. The park is open 24/7 and people fish all night. The campground was nice enough, not amazing but it is near the water and the bathrooms were in good shape and clean.

Just a hint that may or may not work out to be the case for you but when we called ahead we were told that they were booked for the night but we went to fish anyway and as it turned out there were several sites open.

“Great stay at Sebastian Inlet!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

I just got back from a weekend stay at Sebastian Inlet state park.. The campgrounds were great. Clean grounds, clean restrooms, friendly rangers, police presence patrolling made it feels safe..it was packed given the amount of people that were there but there was enough privacy. The camp grounds are just a short drive from the beach....and beaches galore. There are a series of many paths through the dunes to get to the Atlantic ocean for some of the best fishing and surfing. Or you can go to the many fishing piers. There is a lagoon in the inlet for those who want to wade or for small children and seniors who dont want to brave the rough waters of the Atlantic ocean. The mosquitos and no-see um's are the only thing that you have to prepare for...aside from that, I had a great time and the weather was just perfect!

“Scenic and fun stay but wish the dredging operation had been finished”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2012

My husband and I spent 2 mid-week nights here in our RV in late April and loved the campground. Yes, the campsites are close together, but they are right on the water--the inlet--and we could walk 10 feet away to watch the dolphins fishing, the fish jumping, the waterfowl keeping an eye on fishermen, and pelicans swooping over the water looking for dinner. We watched the beautiful sunset and I woke early to bike 5 minutes to the Atlantic beach side and watch the sun come up. We put kayaks in at the boat ramp and watched fish scatter; dolphins swam right around us. Aside from the calm seas--no waves to play in--the only downside was the constant drone of the dredging operation right there in the inlet, which should be over soon. Park staff were very helpful and other guests were quiet. We did get lucky with the sunny, warm weather.
