“Nice Hotel!! Convient to beach and had an IHOP on property!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

The room was clean, hotel was nice overall very convient to many things like downtown and beach. Lots of restaurants in area and many other things to do. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Econo Lodge is nice hotel and if you eat at IHOP restaurant on premises you get 10% discount by show...

I stayed 2 separate nights one day apart in the same room, same stained sheets and same cigarette burn in the same spot. I moved the love seat to swap it and the table as there was only only usable light to do paperwork. When I moved the sofa I found 2 pieces of plastic bags, a lid from a canned meat product and the plunger from a "monoject - single use" syringe, when I told the front desk I was given a broom and a dust pan. The pool as green, I was told the Wi-Fi was available in the lobby, not in my room. Cigarette burns throughout the carpet, bedspread torn and burnt, suspect stains on fabric covered furniture, overflowing garbage cans, uncomfortable bed, flat over used pillows, and the one chair in the room felt like it would give way. The iHop was pretty decent, but I HIGHLY recommend find elsewhere to stay. I would call this Econolodge/Roadway Inn one of the most disappointing places I've ever stayed. FYI-you will not get your frequent stay points from this hotel in you are enrolled in Choice Hotels frequent travelers club.

This was by far one of the most disgusting hotels that I've ever been into. I should have known what the hotel was going to be like when a hooker was at the front desk asking about the nightly rate when I walked in to check-in. The room was terrible, I couldn't even tell if the sheets had been washed or not, there were so many wierd stains on them, and they were covered in cigarette burn hole marks. There were even strange hairs on the bed. I asked to be switched to a different room and found the same disgusting sheets full of stains and burn hole marks. I left and went to another hotel down the street. I'd never book a room at this place again.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel

We stayed 2 nights and had 2 rooms. The hotel is old and needs to be updated. The bed was bad so we had to change rooms. The second room had no hair dryer and hair in the bath tub they brought me a broken dryer. The pool was closed and ice machine broken. The rooms had microwave and frig but no coffee pot?? The staff was fine and accomodating but would not recommend staying there it is cheap and thats what you get.

Worst place ever! Low price matched the low quality but what made it so terrible was that a bogus fire alarm went off at 1am and wasn't turned off until after 4am. We called numerous times to inquire about the alarm but no answer. When my wife kindly asked for a discounted rate the next morning, they dismissed her and told her she should have called earlier! (when they weren't answering the phone!). It was the worst nights rest I could have ever asked for and management took no sympathy nor responsibility it.

booked through capital one and boy was this worst mistake ever. locks did not work, electricity off in restaurant, bugs in the room, leaks in ceiling, rude staff, no towels in room, feces stains in toilet. we left after an hour of which 50 minutes were spent in parking lot waiting for husband to resolve issue on phone [ he did not accompany us]. this was the worst experience of our lives and hotel should be condemned and the owners condemned to death. worst part was trying to get a refund. owner is only in a few hours a day a few days a week [ i don't blame him i wouldn't spend any time in that hole either].

Room Tip: book anywhere else in the world.

My room was clean... The room was a little small, but fine! They didn't give enough towels. But, I had no problem with service. When I asked for things, it was given in a good timely manner. The rooms are affordable and would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ihop was right next door, Pool was great and clean. Alot of stores on the the same road. Convient to...
