We have visited Marco Island for the past 12 years and love our vacation times there. We had never eaten at the Snook but when we saw they were having a seafood buffet, we decided to try it.
This place is not particularly about food. It is about the bar, music and view...all fine but we had higher hopes for the food and service.
It was packed, so it must have a following. The salad bar is absolutely NOTHING to write home about...if this is the best people have ever had, then I feel sorry for them. They did have ample crab legs but not much else in terms of variety. We are not drinkers, so this is not a draw for us. We like the Tropiks at the Marriott and plan to stick with their buffets...the food and service are super and the buffet price ( is less) and includes beverage and dessert.
We were not impressed with the Snook.

The food was average, salad bar is very large, with a pickle barrel which was fun. Cocktails were very good. They have live music which was great during dinner. The view is what makes this a great place, we seen dolphins swimming by and took some really pictures of our family near the water.

They have a small gift shop that was fun with Snook Inn souvienours, not expensive. We bought some qoozies.

Nice experience

We are not new to the Snook Inn, we visit it on all Marco trips. This last experience was disappointing in the bar personnel. Both female bartenders were eating w/ their hands while making drinks. They were very unattentive and seemed more consumed with socializing w/ the local patrons than be bothered with other guests. This is not the first time that bar personnel seem to lack much friendliness or attentiveness. Very disappointing when you pay top dollar for mediocre drinks in plastic cups.

Wife and I went to the Snook Inn for dinner on 6/8/08 and were extremely disappointed. The atmosphere inside is depressing and the food is extremely overpriced. I had a grouper sandwich for $14 that had no taste at all. We would not go back.
