Feb. 2008. Noticed in local Marco Island brochure/magazine that Cafe de Marco offered "twilight" specials (5:00pm-5:45pm). What a deal! It was the best meal we had on the island and at the best price. Note: server did not mention "twilight" so you have to remind them.

This is a gem of a restaurant that is away from the condo/ resort area. No water views and doesn't look like much from the outside. Almost cancelled reservations when I first saw the location and nearby shops. Glad I didn't. The meal, service, and inside ambiance were great. Would go back in a heartbeat.

This restaurant really seems to sneak up on you. When you pull in, it looks like a nice quaint little cafe, but inside the food and the service are really special. We both had the Lobster Bisque and it was sooooooo good I joked with my friend that I could swim in it. The bread was very good also, as was the main entree. The salad was very fresh and nicely prepared. For the entree, my friend had the stuffed crab and I had seafood wrapped in bacon.....it was so rich I could barely finish it. Also, for dessert I had the key lime pie which was the best I ever had. Be prepared to spend a lot of money here, but it is definitely worth it. The servers are well dressed but the atmosphere will accept "smart casual" attire, even shorts. Loved it and will definitely dine here again!

This place wants to be a fine dining restaurant but it's not. I couldn't wait to visit Cafe de Marco to try the prawns however the prawns were very disappointing. I recd 4 or 5 overcooked prawns for $35 under 2 tablespoons of scattered rice. The rice was delicious. I was given what was suppose to be butter I guess to cover up the dryness of the prawns. My hubby ordered the grouper nantucket which needed some type of sauce. The service was good but I won't return due to the food not being up to par for the prices.
