“Excellent Location, beautiful beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

Impressive facility and public areas in pristine condition. We had a superb holiday here. However our experience when checking in was not good. Took around 4 hours before we were allocated a suitable room. However the staff were clearly well trained. A convention type hotel but the proximity of the beach was the greatest attraction for us.
Breakfasts were good. However the the hotel could do better with their in-house catering, Quinns restaurant was the best in the hotel. Kurrents was also good but pricy for the quality and presentation.

Room Tip: The higher gulf facing rooms are most attractive due to their views. However inter connecting door r...

Took a last minute vacation to this amazing resort with the family. I had not been to this resort in over 20 years and I was blown away at the transformation. A hotel staff member had told me that Marriott had invested heavily in the remodel and you could certainly see that they took great attention to detail. The suites near the beach and pool were elegant and well taken care of. The pools (they have a kids pool with a slide and a more relaxed adult pool) were fantastic. The beach... that may have been the best part of our vacation... The sand was so soft even far into the water (some beaches, especially in the keys, look nice then you walk into the rocky ocean). The staff on the beach was great and attentive. The food was great everywhere we went. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner was excellent (I think they have like 7 places to eat). The Spa was also nice. This is one of those resorts where you truly have no need to leave for any reason. Great food - they have it, Attractions for adults and kids - got it, nice little shops and cafes - yep they have that too. We will definitely be returning in the future. Probably for more than just 2 nights.

Room Tip: The Suites appear to be off to the south side of the hotel closer to the beach and the non kids pool...

We were in Marco Island early November for a convention. he Marriott is a pretty fine place on the Island. The grounds were always well kept, the halls and builds were always super clean as well. We got in around 1PM, but had to wait until 4PM to check in. While I was a little miffed about that, that was the ONLY hiccup, we had for te 5 nights we were there.

The restaurants were great, thous we didn't make it to Tropics for breakfast, we talked to there that did and said it was good. Quinns on the beach did leave a bit to be desired. Not bad mind you, but at that level, it really wasn't expected. Prices are not cheap, but remember, it's a resort, not WalMart or McDonalds.

They must have the most fast, efficient maid service I've seen in a while. Rooms are cleaned fast and well!

All in All, I'd go back in a second!

Room Tip: The Lanai suites are absolutely awesome! I'd suggest a second floor room though, our first floor...

Updated, clean, and very comfortable rooms with views of the pool and beach. The staff was very accomodating and food was very good. Expect to pay a lot if planning on eating at the onsite restaurants.

Big Marriott property on beautiful beach. Marriott always does a great job with cleanliness and staff. The food is good, but choices are decidedly run-of-mill. We ate at Quinn's, a beautiful setting on the beach, sandwich fare and starters, a good place for beautiful sunsets. Wine and drinks are served in plastic glasses there. This place caters to conventions and families, not sure which order. I heard talk while down here Marriott was thinking of converting this to a JW property. This would change the expectation here and frankly, while the quality would allow it, people coming to a JW might not expect this many children and families. We came for spa. Spa has private pool, but very limited view of anything but buildings and it is noisy with machinery from outside Marriott control from adjacent properties (blowers, trucks, etc). Spa treatments were good and fairly priced. Camelback (JW) is a better destination for spa. Spa has only standard room service food delivery and limited pool seating. Overall, this is a great big property, well maintained with a full compliment of restaurants and things to do. It is not a quiet spot for a romantic getaway. The pools are family oriented and fairly croweded, I heard it gets crazy here during peak season in winter. Marco is about 35 minutes by car from old Naples. Our room was pool view, nice balcony, great view. Again, Marriott overall does a great job, This is a great spot for a family getaway.

Me and my family go to the resort every year and we are never unsatisfied. The staff is so very friendly and the resort is as clean as can be. A;though the prices for everything are a little high, the overall experience is wonderful.

Room Tip: Choose a room that is not too far away from the lobby as it might be an unsatisfying walk from your...

We travelled to Marco Island for a conference. My husband attended the conference during the day and the kids and I enjoyed the resort. When we checked in, the kids were given papers for a scavenger hunt. Then Frank helped us take the bags to the room. He was awesome. He gave the kids hints for the scavenger hunt and told us about the hotel. The kids did complete the scavenger hunt for which they were given a choice between a toy or tokens for the arcade. The arcade was a big hit for the kids. There were video games, air hockey, and games to try and grab a stuffed animal. The pool was also wonderful. There were 2- one more laid back called Quinns and the other with a water slide and waterfall. The water was warm even though mornings and evenings were cool. The beach had powder fine sand and was very pretty. We didn't spend much time on the beach but the water temp was a nice 76 degrees. We did go north to tiger tail beach where we rented kayaks and went over to sand dollar spit for some shelling. The kayaking at the marriott was for fun but nothing to see. For other activities we went to the everglades on a boat ride (recommended) and rookery bay national estuarine (ok but not great). We tried going to the south end to look for dolphins and manatees but didn't find any. We were told look by the sound end condos as well as by port of isles marina (30 min south which we never got to.) All in all it was relaxing and worth while. Restaurants I'd recommend are Stonewalls (walking distance south of the hotel- great gelato), buffet breakfast at the resort, DaVinci's (also walking distance south of the hotel) and Verdi's. One highlight for the kids was Marco Polo's restaurant which sent a limo to take us there. But the food was average.

Room Tip: We chose a regular room but had an upper room on the 7th floor and had a view of the pool and beach.
