“WOW!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Everything your would want in a luxury resort! Impressive in all respects. Very nice room - just not exceptional. Friendly, helpful and attentive (but not intrusive) staff. Room pricing is what you would expect of a resort of this caliber but meals and other items were reasonable. Wonderful beach with lots of shells and clean sand. Just wish the weather had been warmer on my trip in early January - many of the locals were wearing coats!

Room Tip: Get an ocean view where you can see the sunset. Worth the extra!

This is an awesome Marriott property. We visited Marco Island Marriott October 2011 to celebrate my birthday. It is a top notch resort in every way. Every facet of our stay seemed to have been flawless. The staff go to great lengths to make you feel welcome and satisfied. From check in to check out we felt like royalty. Can't say anything more!

We went to Florida as part of a big group (16 in all) to do a few days of theme parks and then a relax on the beach. Hotel was beautiful, and staff extremely helpful. We were particularly impressed by the staff at the beach bar, who when we arrived were busily putting all the furniture inside before Hurricane Isaac arrived. We were tired and hungry, and they opened the kitchen especially for us and nothing was too much trouble. It rained one day and we all used the spa, which was excellent, and had its own gym, which was a treat. Pool was beautifully clean, and the beach was amazing. All in all, a great holiday.

We visited the Marriott in July, 2011. Our daughter and fiance booked their September 2012 wedding at the resort during our stay. We recently returned to the Marriott for their wedding which was spectacular, thanks to the meticulous coordination of their wedding planner, Mark.
We spent a few days at the resort prior to the wedding. This place is amazing. The food, service, spa, cleanliness far exceeds any hotel we have ever stayed at. I can't wait to return!

Room Tip: We always ask for a higher room floor for the spectacular ocean view from the balcony. You should tr...

My husband and I got away for a 4 night stay. First of all-- a big shout out to the whole Trip Advisor community; I planned our vacation based on all of the input and reviews from everyone.
Our room was in the Island Tower; we requested the south side so that we had a view of the courtyard, adult pool, beach and gulf. Fabulous! Rooms were very nice; appreciated the fact that there was an empty fridge in addition to the mini-bar fridge. We shopped at nearby Winn Dixie and stocked with our own beverages. Housekeeping was prompt and we had no issues. We were led to believe that late September would be down time on the island; the hotel was pretty crowded the Friday, Saturday and Sunday that we were there. There were issues at the pool with chair saving, and getting a chair was tough if you showed up around noon or so.
The beach is clean and ideal for kids. Since I prefer sitting by the gulf rather than pool side I bought a cheap beach chair at Walgreen's and used it for the 3 days we were there rather than pay the $18 per day the resort charges for chair use.
Over all the feel is like a Caribbean resort. Loved it and cannot wait to go back!

Room Tip: I am a coffee snob--the coffee from the coffee shop is pretty good!

We live in Florida, so for us it was a nice getaway. As soon as you enter the resort, it's like tuning yourself to vacation mode. After a very hectic week this was exactly that we needed. The beach is gorgeous and the sunset is just beautiful. I don't really like when it gets too hot so we went during September which was perfect This resort has 2 nice pools, one for the kids with a nice area around it. I loved running on the beach in the mornings. The area is very peaceful and the location of this resort is perfect. There are many restaurants walkable distance so it's very convenient with kids. I am already planning to go there again.
