“Service With Style!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2011

Great hotel! They are very SERVICE focused and it really was impressive. Everyone from restaurant staff, to maintainence workers, to housekeeping, to front desk management was extremely gracious.

The rooms are very nice and spacious, perhaps alittle dated in the decor. The bathroom was great, granite and marble bath. Nice tolietries, Crabtree & Evelyn.

The beach was outstanding...clean, large, uncrowded. They have beach staff who carries the lounge chairs out to the spot you select...really nice touch. They also provide towels at the pool area. The pool area felt alittle cramped, so we usually hung out at the beach.

They also have a cute rec room with a ping pong table!

One day while lounging by the pool, they served complimentary frozen grapes! Yummy and healthy treat and a great treat for their guests.

Great place, you won't be disappointed!

This was our first time here & we fell in love with Marco. The hotel was nice our room had a fabulous view of the ocean. We enjoyed the sunset every night on the patio of the hotel.

I stayed here on business, and wished I was on vacation. Beautiful location, great views and the junior suite I had was fabulous. Pricing for spa seemed really high, so I skipped it. The casual restaurant has a wonderful beach front feel and the prices were OK. The food was above average, not anything to write home about, but above average for hotel food. However, the service was a joke--in the Keystone cops sense. There was enough waitstaff, and they were all very nice, but none seemed to have a clue what they were supposed to do. For a long time, no one came to even take a drink order. Then, over a short period 3 different people came to take my drink order. But no one ever brought any drinks. The same thing was repeated when I tried to order food. This is clearly a management or training problem. If you are there on vacation and have time, it would not be a big deal, but for someone who was trying to get to a meeting it was, well, trying.

We have stayed at this hotel many times, always receive a warm and friendly 'welcome back' from front desk and the bell men, Check in is swift and efficient, we always enjoy the welcome.
Our reserved room was gulf front with fabulous views along the beach, it is always clean and very comfortable and a pleasure to stay in.
The breakfast is one of the best even for a Hilton, we had Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel, we usually try to avoid hotel events but this was excellent, very good food and first class service.
Mac the manager is very prominent and makes a point of adding his welcome, in restaurants and hotels it is always good when management are visible, concierge is very knowlegable and booked excellent local restaurants and offers good advice on the locality. The bar is very comfortable and a good place to start the evening, again the service is first class.
Overall we enjoy this hotel and its fabulous position on the beach, Marco is probably not a resort if you want a lively holiday but it is perfect for us, we have already booked a holiday for 2011.
Paying for parking is annoying and seems to be a standard these days

We just returned from a long weekend at this property.
The hotel is smaller than the Marriott down the road, but has a nice friendly feel to it.
The rooms are huge, with flat screen tv, refrigerator, safe, patio with chairs, etc. Nice touch with a sink and mirror outside of the bathroom also. We were back "away from the beach" but a high enough floor to have a good view. Regardless of your location if you request a high floor, I think your view will be good.
Parking is $10 to self-park which is probably everyone's biggest complaint, $14 valet. The parking lot is literally outside the hotel so no reason to valet.
The continental breakfast or full hot breakfast were both good. Pat was extremely accommodating for this service. Drinks at the pool expensive, but probably what you'd expect to pay at a resort.
The beach is huge and inviting and lots of room for walking, shelling, or lying around. The pool is small but big enough, the pool guy "Bud" was very friendly and fun to talk to. There are plenty of pool chairs, but many will not be in the sun due to the building and shade. Everyone quickly scopes the chairs that will be facing the sun in the morning.
The jacuzzi tub was small and in shade, just ok.
The hotel had a manager's reception (beer, wine, chips/dip) on Monday that provided good friendly interacting with other guests by putting "stars" on your nametag with the # of stays there plus your home state. This provided reasons to talk to other guests and made for a nice ice-breaker. The innkeeper thanked everyone at the end of the reception for staying there and provided a gift certificate to the restaurant to the guest who had been there the MOST. This was a nice gesture, but many of us first-timers wondered why he didn't encourate a first-timer to come back again by doing that too?
Restaurants across the road (movie theatre too) provide additional options.

Overall, the service was extremely friendly, everyone smiled and greeted you, we liked the small feel, it was easy to get where you wanted to go within a couple of minutes.
I would definitely stay here again.

Warning. Hilton has set up a scam where they let you book the room you want through Expedia then switch the room to 2 double beds shortly before your travel date. When we arrived at the hotel we found the tiny beds unacceptable. It was a set-up we went down to see the Room Director at the front desk and he told us that they only rent twin double bed rooms to Expedia customers no matter what they book online. He then gave us the option of paying an extra $100 per night for a King size suite to an extra $60.00 night for a queen size suite. A disgraceful ploy for a major hotel chain. Book with caution.

The hotel and staff are great everyone greeted you and made you feel welcome. The room and view were great as was the pool and the beach. The downside was the price of everything, food was expensive and not that great for the price charged. There are several nice restaurants in the area besides the hotel's and all were overpriced for the quality of the food served.
