“Third time at the Marco Island Hilton, first time at the spa!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2010

I have stayed at the Marco Island Hilton three times in the the last four years. Every year, the service and ammenities have gotten better. The room is spacious, beds are comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the ocean is always a nice, relaxing spot.

This year, I spent an afternoon at the spa and had a wonderful hot stone massage with a woman named Alvina. The facilities are not very large: steam room (no eucalyptus-stale odor but spent time in because I love this part of my usual spa day), sauna, rain shower, general areas (rest room, vanity area, lockers, towels), and a small outdoor hot tub area with very few sunning loungers (which people kept their personal items on while receiving treatments inside) but more standard chairs. There was no option of a plunge/cool down pool other than going back over to the hotel's main pool which was always packed.

The massage was A+ but the staff needs to be more observant of keeping the spa clean and stocked well. The resting room had dirty plates on every table the entire afternoon that I spent at the spa. People left cups and dirty towels on the chairs and loungers outside that were never picked up. The locker area was not restocked with sandals nor were damp towels present (the bowl was bone dry with towels waiting to be hydrated).

So, for those who are just going to receive a massage-go for it! I loved mine. For people like myself, who like to go to an 'oasis' type spa-a place to relax and step away from it all, this place needs to expand on its service and staff duties to give the true spa day experience to its guests.

As for the hotel, this place is a great choice and check out for AAA specials!

If this property had a 4/5 star restaurant then I'm sure it would get a 5. All the rooms have great views of Gulf, Pool and Bar at pool including the bartender made my visit during the uncommonly cold Feb still enjoyable. Spa was Terrific for massage. Cafe overlooks beach/dunes great for brweakfast or lunch. Bar inside has the low seat arrangement...and 2 for 1 during Happy Hour. Bedroom shower was the best; again a reason for another star.

I have been to this resort 3 times and I'm returning this March. This is perfect for a low-key, no-kids vacation. There are children there, of course, but it's not really a place to take kids - more for couples. Very off the beaten path because there's not much doing so it keeps the teens/college kids away which is perfect if you just want to relax in peace and quiet.

Necessary to rent a care because the closest you can get is Ft. Myers or Naples and taxi service is $$$$. Good to have because the island is small enough - you can easily cruise around and find great restaurants. Place consists mostly of snow-birds and time-sharers. Very peaceful and romantic. If you want a quiet, go-at-your-own pace romantic vacation, I would recommend this. They also have watersports right on the beach if you're interested.

This is a very nice hotel right on the beach with a large pool. The staff could not be more helpful. Our room was spacious and contained a mini refrigerator which was very handy. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families with young kids as there isn't that much for them to do in the immediate area other than the beach and pool. If you are content with walking on the beach, relaxing by the pool and going to the spa, then this is the place for you.

One of my favorite places on the planet...the Marco Island Hilton. Great location, right on the beach, wonderful view from the room, ocean breezes at night, long walks on the beach. My husband and I have been coming to the Hilton a few times a year for 12 years just to get away, relax on the beach, read books, have lazy breakfasts (the breakfast buffet is fabulous). It's low-key, casual and easy. They also just added a wonderful spa and their cocktail hour is the best deal around. Lastly, but importantly, they have the nicest staff in the business.

The Marco Island Hilton resort is a wonderful property located on one of the nicest beaches in Florida. The property is maintained and managed to an uncompromised level. The propery is immaculate, the staff, genuine and careing. Our room was beautiful, because of the buildings design, nearly all of the rooms have a view of the beach, our balconey overlooked the pool and pool deck which is fantastic. Each room is complete with all the "Hilton" ammenities. The new Spa and fitness center are first class and are the services offered are incredible! I think the greatest attribute of the property is truely found in the staff. Every member of the Marco Island team is focused on one thing and one thing only... total customer customer satisfaction! They deliver. The property is also well located to shops, resaurants, activities, and island fun. What a great property!
