“Superb location - high class area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Just ahd two nights here at Marco - real nice place..... The Hilton was very well placed and a great standard - modern, clean and had that "special" feel to it....

The rate we payed was nearly 1/3rd lower than the Marriott and it cant be that much better from what we saw when we checked it out...

Great rooms - nice pool and beach area with all the facilities you could want for a beach break in the sun.

Right opposite the hotel is a shopping centre that had 6 lovely places to eat and even a cinema - cant fault the choice available or the standards....

Would return for sure....

Room Tip: Beach facing - right side high level rooms....

Living in Florida, we haven't spent much time vacationing there until this year. On our most recent trip we made out way from Fort Lauderdale over to the Marco Island Hilton Beach Resort. This resort is top notch. We were greeted cheerfully at the reception desk, and enjoyed the refreshing citrus infused water. We had a beautiful Deluxe double queen bed Jr Suite with a Gulf of Mexico and a Pool View. The room was spacious and well appointed, with a furnished balcony, functional desk area, 2 bathroom vanities/sinks, and a sitting area. We were very pleased. The restaurant was awesome! We arrived on Friday afternoon and enjoyed a beautiful sunset with the waves crashing, seagulls/pelicans/sandpipers gregariously congregating, a beautiful shell laden beach, and a spectacular sky aglow! That night we had the all you can eat seafood buffet for $34.99, and it was well worth it...crab legs, oysters, chilled shrimp, mussels, scallops....I could hardly walk afterwards! We even had a 15% off coupon. The next morning for breakfast we had the buffet for a minimal charge as a Hilton Honors members, and they had many healthy options, including egg white vegetable omelets, oatmeal, fresh fruit, skim and soy milk in additional to the other traditional unhealthy items most other people are interested in. The next day we enjoyed the pool, and it too was awesome! Someone commented that the pool was tiny. It was by no means tiny! I have a large residential pool, and it was at least 10 times larger than that (picture attached). Even with many people in the pool, you felt like you had lots of space. The lounge chairs around the pool were plentiful and allowed for many locations for lounging and sunbathing without feeling crowded or competing for chairs. As far as smoking goes, I am not a smoker, but unlike the other review, I was not bothered in the least by anyone smoking. If they were doing it, they kept it to themselves. There were not that many healthy items on the pool lunch menu, but the inside restaurant had some good items. My only disappointment was that we walked in at 155 and they told us they were closed. I was very disappointed as the signage stated they were open until 200. We walked around the shops across the street, but I was not impressed with those lunch dining options either. We ended up eating at some Irish Pub which had some healthier options (salad with salmon) but lousy service. The second night we had dinner again at the Hilton, but at the more formal sit down restaurant. I was very impressed with the service, presentation, and food quality. We essentially had a 5 or 6 course dinner for about $50 a person including tip after the 15% discount coupon we were given at check in. We also brought out fold up bikes in the back of the Lincoln MKX and took a beautiful bike ride around the island (wouldn't have fit in the Mercedes convertible, though I would also suggest to bring your convertible to appreciate th beautiful water views). It was a very relaxing and pleasant getaway, and less than 2 hours from Ft Lauderdale. Thanks Hilton Marco Island for a great stay!! :>)

Room Tip: Get a Gulf and Pool View. Friday Seafood Buffet to die for, and sitdown formal restaurant has reaso...

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Hilton in Marco Island. The high reviews are correct - a great property. Great location and amenities. Several very good restaurants across the street, as well as a 7Eleven (for snacks, breakfast stuff). We recommend DaVinci - great food, outdoor dining, strolling musicians on Wednesday night, at least. Also went to CJ's and had a wonderful table on the water, and had a grouper sandwich, which was excellent. Our room number was 819 - great view of the pool, north facing coastline. Be careful of a southern view - there is a high rise that will block some, not all, of your view. Highly recommend the jet ski tour of the islands. Cost is $175 per machine (1-3 people). Our tour guide was AlexDeMoody. He was great. We had just started the trip and met two groups of dolphins which started jumping all around us. He let us stay there to enjoy them, and we had just started the trip. Lots of fun - and hang on if it is windy!

2-3 doors down is the Marriott resort where we stays for 2 nights prior to arriving at the Hilton. You can't compare - night and day! The Hilton is a bit cheaper but hardly worth the difference. Hilton has 1 tiny pool that allows SMOKERS (yuk!), the beach chairs are junk, the restaurant was decent and cheaper but just not first rate comparatively speaking. If it were half of the Marriott price perhaps it would be worth it but my rates were too close to each other so there was no value whatsoever. Just older, dated, tired but at the same upscale resort price.

Room was really clean and comfortable and food was decent if you liked sitting in what felt like a suburban screened porch.

I can say I was really impressed by the friendliness of the Hilton Staff as well as the warmth they passed along to their guests. This is an intangible...the elusive secret ingredient all hotels wish they had. At one point I even asked a spa supervisor what their secret was....how do they get all the employees to buy in to such hospitality at this location? I was told there is very little turn over, that because it is a small hotel that the employees feel like family there, and she noted they were "happy". Well I can tell you this was wholly passed along to myself and my two guests. Thank you for a wonderful weekend, one where I could not have asked for more from this hotel and its employees.

we love this hotel ---- we were there the week of oct 12 and will be back every chance we get.... this hotel and Its staff are spectacular when u check in, everything is always right, you don't have to worry about getting into the room and having to call downstairs, the room is clean, plenty of towels, there is a coffee pot in the room, and a fridge AND the view of the gulf is really unbelievabe the pool is gorgous - right temperature,, tons of towels always available - plenty of chairs in the sun.. the beach access is superb - beach chairs are free and they are brought to the spot u pick out on the beach,, its a nice touch,, they are not just sitting on the beach and u have to drag them yourself. the tiki bar by the pool is great.. to have - the whole experience is top shelf as always whether u want to walk down the beach , relax at the pool,, the rooms are clean, quiet. the bar inside the hotel is very relaxing ..perfect place for a nite cap....
