“Wonderful time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2011

We have stayed in Marco Island many times and we LOVE this island. Very nice, quiet ( off season) clean and the beaches are beautiful. This is our first time staying at the Hilton and it was GREAT. THe grounds are clean and pretty and all the staff is very nice and everyone says hello and smiles! When you arrive you can choose to valet your car ($14) per day, or self park ($10) per day. THe lobby is very nice and they had a HUGE xmas tree and the place felt very cozy. there are glass doors all around the pool which gives the lobby a island tropical feel. The front desk staff was VERY nice! I asked for a higher floor ..they said YES...i wanted late check out...YES.....anything we needed or asked for the answer was YES...right away with no tension or anyone seeming like we were bothering them or they had something better to do. We stayed in a DELUXE VIEW JR SUITE and it was really nice!! if you want to have a beach view that is spectacular then make sure it is DELUXE VIEW..you can see the whole beach and then the balcony is forward while the other rooms are back, this allows you to see the entire city in a panoramic view. The breeze is awesome so try to get a room on a higher floor 8-9-10-11.
THe ladies who serviced the room were very nice and they work HARD so make sure to let them know you appreciate what they do to help your stay be a nice one.
THe bed was comfortable but compaired to alot of the "newer" pillowtop beds, etc these feel alittle dated. The TV is flat screen but not HD...no prob tho bc you wont be spending alot of time watching tv anyway. Most deluxe views are over looking the pool area as well as the beach. The pool has some island music playing during the day and you can also hear the kids playing in the pool etc...the great thing is that when we closed the sliding glass door in the room it was very sound proofed! You could hear things but in the distance so it made the room even more comfy. There was a small fridge in the room but no minibar.
We had breakfast in the cafe downstairs, the bufet runs about $21.95 per person so if you have alot in your group this can be very expensive! Try to book your room with breakfast vouchers included. I booked thru hotels. com and when i checked in they gave me the vouchers and said that they were included w the room thru hotels.com. On the website they said nothing about breakfast so we were very delighted to have them. The food was good and we sat outside with the ocean view.
The beach is very nice with powder white sand. They give you 2 beach chairs w no charge but if you want an umbrella they charge you $18 per day. Jetski is outragious at $145 an hour but that is pretty much the going rate on Marco. I LOVE resorts but i hate when they nickle and dime you to death ex/ 10 for parking, 18 for umbrella, 15 for internet, ...you are paying 200-500 PER NIGHT when u stay here depending on season so what is the big deal about an umbrella that they use over and over again that was paid off years ago. I know they derive "passive income" this way but really???
There are many delicious restaurants in the area and if you want an affordable super good breakfast try "HOOTS" a family owened place that most locals go to. the Hilton has a spa on property that is very nice but costly. Down the road, accross from the Marriot, there is a local place where they do mani, pedi and massage. I love supporting the local small business owners because they really need it. Plus we had great massages!
The hotel experience at the Hilton was great and we would stay here again! Marco is a great place!

I recently stayed at the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort for a business meeting and an extra day of relaxation. The hotel is perfectly located - unlike some "beachfront" hotels that end up being across the street from the beach, this hotel is literally on the beach. The views are spectacular. The rooms are very comfy and the service is friendly and very attentive. The hotel has so much to offer that you don't need to ever leave the premises! There are watersports on the beach, a spa, a beautiful pool with ample lounge chairs, three restaurants plus a Starbucks cart for quick grab and go breakfasts. I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Request an ocean view room - the views are fabulous from your balcony!

Although the Marco Island Beach Resort is a little out of the way, it is certainly worth the trip. The beach is one of the most beautiful we've stayed at lately and the hotel is spacious and accommodating. Our room was large and comfortable with a beautiful balcony view of the beach. Large, attractive pool and poolside. The breakfast is complimentary continental and upgradable to a full breakfast for a nominal fee. If you are going to be anywhere nearby, both my wife and I suggest you stay here.

Room Tip: The higher up, the better the view of the beach.

The hotel is on the beach and it was a good place to stay overall. The room has a good view but the furnishings are a bit dated. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The beach was nice with broken shells for sand and the sunsets were fantastic! The restaurant we good, nothing to write home about. Most of the employees were nice and helpful. We did have a problem with a bar server that was rude and not helpful at all.
I would stay again if I go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor room for the view.

We stay here every time we are in Marco Island, this time we got to help with the clean the beach event, not that the beach needs cleaning - it is beautiful. The staff makes this hotel, from Ellen at the entry gate to Jose the busboy, everyone is happy and friendly. The rooms are very pleasant, clean and quiet. The hotel is great for families or anyone trying to get away from it all.

We travelled here from Longboat Key (another Hilton), so found ourselves drawing comparisons with Hilton Marco Island.
The main thing we noticed is that this hotel is huge! As the capacity of the car park attested when we arrived, we realized that we had travelled from a much sleepier island to this one. Unfortunately the car park costs $10 per night- not including the valet service. The staff were very polite when we checked in and we had a lovely room on the 10th floor, with Gulf views (which we later found out afforded us with good views of the dolphins in the late afternoon), a ‘living room’ area, and two small double beds (slightly disappointed that it wasn’t just one massive double).
Throughout, the hotel was immaculate. The pool area has plenty of sun loungers and the pool itself is large, with a bar/café next to it. However, we spent most of our downtime on the beach. Sun loungers are free, but if you want an umbrella you will have to pay. We managed to hire a kayak for an hour via the hotel to enable more dolphin viewing, and the chaps at the beach hut were very friendly (a mention goes to Steve, in particular, here).
Inside the hotel we made use of the gym (excellent, especially the treadmills with individual tv’s), table tennis room, spa (not so great- men and women have separate steam rooms/saunas/’relaxation areas’, so don’t bother going if you are a couple), restaurants, Starbucks and bar. The quality of the food in the hotel was very good. The indoor bar is attractive, and a very nice place to go to before dinner for happy hour, but we thought happy hour itself was a misnomer. The deal is that they offer two of the same drink for the price of one, but you cannot split the drinks over two people. Also, they only give you your second drink when you have finished your first. Not really a very good happy hour!
Another member of staff who deserves a mention is Tina, the concierge. She helpfully arranged our airboat ride in the Everglades, and gave us some excellent info on what to look out for during our trip- including the best spot for seeing ‘gators.
I would recommend this hotel for relaxation, comfortable dining and its ‘high quality’ feel.

Room Tip: Go for a high floor and Gulf view so that you can see the dolphins
