“we left after appetizers”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

the name is appealing. conjures up the beach boys song and all, but when you get there, it is an old peoples place. staff is friendly. a lot of TV's. that means a lot of sports right? no, all TV's it seems was set to CNN. yes, really. they must have a chef that has Asian cuisine leanings. not experience, but leanings. although the menu looks Asian infused, this cook has no Asian cuisine experience other than eating it because the Asian dishes were just awful. the lettuce wrapped chicken was abominable. we also ordered some kind of wrapped vegetable roll which was wrapped in the cellophane type noodle used in Vietnamese cuisine and in some Japanese rolls. frightening is the only adjective I have for this one. check please...i'm sorry, we have to leave. we just got an emergency call from home. no...everything was fine. no don't pack the lettuce wraps or rolls for us. bye.

“Food was well done”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Not the most attractive from the outside, but a bit of a tiki hut feel to the bar. Unfortunately the African masks freaked out our 2 year old, so we had to move tables two times until he was satisfied, but the staff was very understanding and patient with us. We had everything from steaks to seafood to chicken and everything was hot and very good. Service was very fast with busboys helping out as well. Don't judge a book by it's cover (the outside strip mall feel), and give Cocomo's a chance. It is very low key and good for families. They even have a little game room that is a hit with the kids!

“Nice place for lots of choices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

We went for dinner early and were seated right away. The menu for appetizers is huge but we skipped those. Would like to come back and just have those one night with drinks. All the dinners were good nothing to complain about. Our vegan loved the hummus falafel platter. Grouper fish was just ok. Coconut shrimp was very good. Jerk pasta chicken dish was good but the sauce could have been tightened up a bit. Nothing major. All in all I'd go back again.

“Unfortunately..Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

Group of us went for dinner, 2 of us ordered coconut shrimp, it was horrible, it was so chewy, almost like it was frozen and reheated. The server seemed annoyed when we wanted to order something else. Someone else ordered a burger medium rare and it was overcooked. Overall disappointed with food and the service. Had been here couple years ago it seemed better then.

“three times in four days!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

We had the Yellow Tail Snapper francise the first night and had to go back again for lunch and another dinner. The service was great. Cocomos is a nice casual restaurant with daily specials.
