I stayed here for four nights with my wife in early May on a mini-vacation. We were given a suite which had both a water view and was disability-friendly. The suite was great – only steps away from the beach. The rooms are decorated in a modern style, with comfortable furniture. Figuring out the light switch operation was a challenge.
The level of service was exceptional. The employee who checked us in addressed all our needs, the parking valets were fast and friendly, the concierge was helpful and remembered our names. I have not stayed in a hotel with better personal attention.
Where the EAU falls down a little bit, is in the food. Most of the time, the food was great, particularly at breakfast, where hotel guests have the option of a large buffet or eating a la carte. We had dinner (it was my birthday) at the Orange restaurant. – the entrée and desserts were good, but the bread was a little stale. And the Caesar salad was not fresh. We had lunch at Breeze, where the swordfish tacos were good, but the pulled pork sandwich was an inedible greasy, glutinous mess . We complained to the waitress, but she did nothing about it,
I would stay here again, but I would identify good quality restaurants as an alternative to in-house dining. Also, get a room with a sea view – its worth it.
