“Cute Beach Cottage!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

This was a "stay-cation"get away. Fit our needs for being walking distance to beaches, and John's Pass. Trolley stop close enough to hop on and off all day anywhere from clearwater beach to St.Pete / Pass-a-grill beach. Plenty of water sports and restaurants to choose from near by.
The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. Any concerns or questions were handled promptly by the owners.

Hi there, Janet and Dana, along with their kids, Lauren and jaime, have had the pleasure to purchase these wonderful cottages. Since our purchase we have renovated most with fresh paint, queen sofabeds and lounge chairs, but all have new Tommy Bahama comforter bedding and linens, comfortable pillows, bath towels, automatic coffee machines, and an executive style decor.
Booking rates have not changed but some of our deposit and cancellation fees have. We are now a non-smoking property except for over by the grill and pets are still welcome upon owner discretion.
Please visit our website at www.madeira-beach.us for a view of more photos and rates for consideration of your next vacation. Make sure you give plenty of time for booking as guests often book ahead one year in advance!
Sunny regards :)

After living in Florida for 8 years, this was our first weeklong beach "staycation" with the family... and what a great choice! We wanted to explore as many beaches as possible from Clearwater to St. Pete... and even extended it to Anna Maria and Ft DeSoto. Though Madeira Beach is not as ritzy as some of the other beach towns, the location was perfect, and our stay at The Cottages was lovely and relaxing... even though it rained most of the week. Our studio cottage was tiny but had loads of character and charm... we are a family of four--- 2 adults and a 4 year old and 1 year old, plus a tiny dog... but we never felt cramped. Since it rained so much, we did spend a bit of time indoors but never felt too cramped since it was so cozy! We would, however, upgrade to a room with a tub since it would be easier to bathe the two little ones. Also a neat thing we discovered after the 2nd day... the bed firmness can be adjusted with a button!

Rooms were well stocked with the basic stuff needed for cooking. Most of the dishes and cups were glass, so if you have children, bring plastic cups and plates. We were also given a food and water bowl for our dog. And for a place that allows pets... there was no hint of any pet odors. (I was worried about that... this was the first vacation we brought our dog!) WIFI was also available... but I don't remember if there was a DVD available... didn't need it anyway.

While some of the homes outside the area of cottages were not as well maintained, we didn't feel unsafe while walking our dog. The beach was lovely and not very busy as compared to St. Pete or Clearwater. The sand was finer than Anna Maria and Pass-A-Grille. And if you don't want to cross the street to see the ocean, the pool was just the right size and usually unoccupied. Though there is no jacuzzi, there are jets on the side sitting area... this was nice because it felt like you were in a jacuzzi while being within an arms reach to the kiddies.

When we rented, it was the same week that there was a change in owners. The new owners are from Canada. They are a lovely family and very cordial. They were in the process of upgrading the bedding and furniture to make it even more comfortable. I believe they are also keeping the same maintenance and housekeeping staff so that it would continue to stay impeccable. They were very interested in any recommendations or suggestions to make our stay better.

Rain or shine... we highly recommend The Cottages at Madeira Beach. After almost booking a condo (that would not allow pets), The Cottages had more charm and convenience for a fraction of what we originally budgeted! It felt like a miniature home away from home. It was a very relaxing retreat and an easy drive to all the top Gulf Coast attractions!

Lisa and her cottages are the only place to stay in Maderia. The location is perfect, a short one block walk to John's pass, and a skip across the street to the beach and public access.
Everything you need is provided for you in the home. ( just brind you bathing suit and beach chairs!) The pool and tiki huts are relaxing, and even though your in the middle of everything your surrondings are peaceful and quite. I travel to Florida several times a year and have been for many years, I can honestly say this was my absolute favorite vacation! I plan to come back and stay again and again!

We have stayed here for the last 6 years. The management is very nice and helpful. The location is great . Right across the street from the beach.About three blocks down to Johns pass where you have Restaurant and little shops. So relaxing they have a nice grill area and pool area. Very safe we bring our whole family kids and dog friendly. They also keep the grounds and cottages impeccable.Lots of great restaurants around the area.Would definitely recommend.

We chose to stay at the Cottages at Madeira Beach on the recommendation of my sister who had stayed there twice before. We absolutely loved it! The cottages are so clean and accomodating, and we had all the conveniences of home.. The pool area was very inviting. The beach, boat tours, shopping, and restaurants are all within short walking distance. Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing. The other guests were so friendly and nice. We will definitely stay at the Cottages next time we are in Madeira Beach.

The Cottages at Madeira Beach are truly a home away from home. From my first phone call from Lisa – I knew that my husband and I would feel at home. I happened upon this little gem looking for “pet friendly” vacation rentals. We travelled with our 9 year old Lab – and not only did Lisa assure me that dogs were welcome, she even had special eating bowls waiting for Jersey when we arrived. The layout of the cottages on the property allow you all the privacy you need, but if you feel like socializing with other renters, they are all right there in the same courtyard. We met some truly wonderful people! I was extremely impressed with how clean the cottages are when you arrive, not once did I question the bedding, kitchen or shower – everything was spotless! We appreciated the extra touches as well – arriving to a bottle of wine, special attention to our family pet, pool towels, beach chairs, free laundry facilities, WIFI, etc. We also loved that we were close to everything – but far enough away for those quiet nights watching the sunsets. The Cottages at Madeira Beach are truly fabulous – I cannot wait to rebook with Lisa & Manfred, I absolutely fell in love with their cottages!
