My wife and I like to go there for breakfast when we visit the Madeira Beach area. Their coffee is the best I've tasted fresh from the coffee pot. The omelettes are great and with crab cakes, fantastic. We enjoy sitting by the large windows and watching birds, boats and dolphins in the bay. The service has always been quick and friendly. We haven't been there for dinner yet, but lunch there is good and reasonably priced.
Seafood is just okay, nothing special.
Never had a bad meal there. (sometimes the service can be too slow though)
If you like a fantastic omellette this is the place to go for breakfast and you better have a big big appetite. Sure hope same breakfast cook there. If you have a small appetite there is enough to share.
My daughter and I were at the Friendly Fisherman restaurant to try grouper for the first time. The waitress, Shelly, was very helpful in describing it to us and suggesting how to have it cooked. Even with her rave review, we were surprised to find it the best fish experience the two of us have ever had. It was the mildest, freshest fish I have had since returning from Greece. I really loved the sweet potato that accompanied my meal. Everything about this restaurant is great. We went back on this trip, and will make it a regular spot everytime we're in the area.
Food and service were super, the restaurant is on the docks at Johns Pass we all loved watching the boats and fisherman, lots of pelicans kids will really enjoy. Shops and family type cruises such as dolphin and shell island leave from outside the restaurant we went fishing on one of the large fishing boats and the restaurant cooked our fish, you can't get any better than that. Whenever we are down in Madeira we make this restaurant a daily event.
