My husband and I went for breakfast. We thought the food was good and our waitress was friendly. We had eggs, sausage, american fries, grits, toast, coffee for under $20. And the view is beautiful as we watched the fishing boats go out into the Gulf of Mexico. Previous posters mentioned that the tables/booths are small and I would agree there. However, we were fine being there were only the two of us. We went back one afternoon as there is a bar lounge area below the restaurant with an outdoor deck. The bartender was friendly, although service was slow.

We visited this restaraunt last week while staying in Indian Shores, FL. The service was fine. The tables are super, super, super small. We are a family of four with a 12 year old and a 5 year old. We didn't have nearly enough room too sit, let alone eat. The menu isn't nearly as expansive as I thought it would be. There aren't that many choices for platters or combos and what there was to choose from wasn't anyting that every other seafood place on the beach serves.

I ordered the boardwalk salad with grilled shrimp. It was a lettuce mixture with a tiny amount of cesar (I assume, I wasn't told and there was no description) dressing and about 6 grilled cocktail shrimp that was supposed to be blackened. Not bad, but kind of flavorless. My husband ordered the shrimp and scallop salad which was just a glorified seafood salad (think chicken salad) served with saltine crackers. My 12 year old ordered the fish and chips - his was the best of the bunch. My five year old ordered the gator bites kids meals. It was so fishy tasting noone at the table could eat it!!!! Not like the gator we've eaten before. It was cold and chewy. ICK! I ordered water and it smelled terrible. I asked the waitress to bring me a coke, and it was better.

We would not go here again.

Sides are extra now, smaller portions and higher prices. For a great meal go to Crabby Bills!

Went to the friendly fisherman while on vacation. We decided on this place because on the brochure for the place it said that sides were included with meal. On the menu the prices were reasonable. This was a big draw in our decision to eat there. We sat down and ordered drinks and discovered on their menu that all sides were $2 extra. We asked management why the menu he was displaying outside his restaurant was different then the one inside. He could not give us a direct answer. He said the menu out front was old and that he could not honor it. The management here is very misleading and rude to its customers. While there, the table behind us complained about the quality of the food. When we got up and left , the table behind us said that was the best decision we could make. If you want good food go to indian rocks beach, the restaurant Shell's is great, the clam chowder is awesome, and they have a wonderful waitress named Deborah C.
