“Several attempts”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions. If you are coming just for the suchi you found the right place. If you are coming for an authentic Thai dish go somewhere else. The Pad Thai dish is horrible. Could be the worst I have ever had. The Paneang Curry is made completely different then any of the 30+ Thai restaurants I have been too. We continue to try and eat at this restaurant because it close to our home and the reviews on this site are generally good. No more. I find the food to be bland and the service to be horrible. Thai food is always robust with flavor and this place does not deliver a flavorful meal.

On the good side, the restaurant is clean and offers patio dining.

“Good sashimi & sushi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

We have enjoyed several meals at Thai-am 2 in Maderia Beach over the past 4 years during our annual month-long visit to Florida.
The sashimi platter is well-presented & very fresh tasting. it is definitely among the best we have had. Along with that, we had several sushi rolls which were also prepped as expected.

Service is well-paced & all staff take turns re-filling water glasses & checking if there is anything we needed. Waitstaff has a good knack for timing of soup, salad & we have never been hurried along.

We would HIGHLY recommend adding Thai-am 2 to your list of must-do when you are in the area!

“Raw chicken”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

We decided to come here after a fishing trip nearby. I ordered some maki rolls that were ok, not spectacular but not terrible. My husband ordered a Thai chicken dish. He noticed that the chicken texture was a bit odd, but it wasn't until he got to a large strip of chicken that we saw that it was raw. The waitress apologized and took the partially eaten dish off the bill but considering the health risks of what was obviously raw chicken, we expected that the entire meal would be compensated. I had some of the chicken as well and we're hoping that we both avoid salmonella poisoning tonight.
