“A WONDERFUL PLACE TO HANDLE AN ALLIGATOR”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

let me tell you the alligator attraction is an amazing place, it will bring smiles to all ages young and old, this is one of the fewest places on earth where you can be hands on with a gator in a safe enviroment with trained staff on hand, our grandchildren from indiana just loved it, imagine holding and kissing an alligator you never know the kiss might bring you a prince or a princess, we want to thank you for a wonderful visit and will definately return, so the next time anyone from florida or you have family in town visiting make sure your next stop is at JOHNS PASS with many shops, a new casino cruise ship and the amazing alligator attraction. and the cheapest attraction in the whole tampa bay st pete area

“More fun than a barrel of monkeys”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

I live in Dunedin which is just down the road from the Alligator Attraction. Sometimes you just don't know what's in your backyard. We had a ball watching the gators and the amazement of the tourists as we viewed the gators from one foot to SEVEN feet. You could pet the gators, hold the gators and even kiss the gators if you felt so inclined. Bob Barrett was more like "Gator Bob" as he coaxed the SEVEN footer out of the lagoon with tricks and treats and ran the gator through an obstacle course while crouching only inches from the gators chompers. It was educational, entertaining, and a whole lotta fun for the bucks. If I was a kid again I know that this would be the first story i would be telling my friends back in Ohio. I would encourage the local to take a trip to Mad Beach and see them gators.

“I left feeling sad for the animals.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

Not very big, it is located inside and not very much room for the alligators. People paid $10 to hold the alligators and they just looked so sad :(

Thank you very much for coming in to see our alligators and rescue animals. We hope that everyone who comes in has a stellar experience and we are sorry that you had some concerns about the welfare of our gators. The pens we have for our alligators are three times the size regulated by the Florida Wildlife Commission and we keep our alligator population at a low and safe number for the size pens we have here. Our gators that we use for photos are trained to be held by humans so they are able to remain calm for the persons doing the hold. While we aren't the size of a zoo, we do have plenty of room for our gators, 90 lb rescue tortoise (who enjoys walking around theattraction with the customers when hes not napping) and other animals. We hope that you feel better about our facility and come to visit us again in the future.

“Kids will LOVE it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

What a simple yet fun idea. My 6 year old daughter loved it. We bought a combo pack- feed the alligator (4 tiny pieces of hot dog) & a photo with a little gator. Once you pay to get in, they let you come back as long as you have your sticker still. We just kept going back & paying to feed the little gators. The people are super nice. So glad we stopped in! I would highly suggest if you have a kiddo. Even an adult will have fun watching the kiddos feed the little guys. Great yet simple fun!

Simple and Fun. Those are great words to describe The Alligator Attraction. The combo pack is one of the best deal here. What fun you guys had. We are very happy your "kiddos" had fun as well as the adults. The Alligator Attraction is fun for children of all ages. Please come back to have more fun soon.

“Good Gators”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Was told by a local not to miss this attraction whether you have kids or not. It is upstairs among other shops and not very big. However, they have a boatload of alligators from tiny babies to a large 6 footer.......and they have named them ALL. You can pay to hold one and have your picture taken or feed them with a fishing pole with a little hot dog for bait which is crazy fun. The owners ask that you hold the bait up so they will jump to catch it.....like in the wild. My kids had more fun here than at the Florida Aquarium. The staff is laid back and very knowledgeable about the gators and take pride in their attraction. When walking out you can pick up a tee-shirt for cheap and a free gator tooth...Oh and they tell you to keep your Alligator Attraction stickers they give you when you pay so you can revisit for free through the week you are there. My son begged to go everyday so he could feed them again. Good times!

Feeding and training is the most fun you can have in Johns Pass for 5 bucks. We see that you think so also. The fact you loved our attraction more than the Florida Aquarium tells US that we are doing something right. It's good that you noticed our staff being laid back yet very knowledgeable. We strive on good knowledge and great customer service. That you for visiting us and please come back soon.
