We've stayed in various condos on the beach in this area, and this is the best we've found. First, the condos are spacious, comfortable and clean. That's the first priority in a place to stay, but given that, the location is next, and this condo's location can't be beat. These are directly on the beach, and on a section of the beach that is about 30-40 yards/meters wide. This means that you have a great view of the beach and water, and if you have kids you can let them play on the beach by themselves while you watch from your room. This is an important distinction since many condos that are directly on the beach, especially in South Madeira, Treasure Island or St. Pete may be 100-300 yards from the water (very wide beaches). This means it's quite a walk to the water and you may not be able to watch your kids from your room.
These do not have a porch, but our family all agreed that the windows overlooking the beach are even better. The sitting area sticks out from the building, so that you have big windows on 3 sides. If you open these, it's like you're outside. But you can also close them if it's too chilly or hot and be in your air-conditioned or heated room and still see everything! You also have the benefit of sitting in a dry, clean place with upholstered furniture instead of patios that tend to get dirty.
Our place (306) was low enough we could walk down the stairs if we wanted, and we could also talk to the kids on the beach through the windows. It had carpeting in the living/dining room and bedrooms, which is always nicer than tile floors everywhere, which you find in many beach condos.
Big washer/dryer in the unit, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker; just about everything you could think of was provided. There were beach chairs and kids toys in the closet. Beds were really comfortable. The master BR is overlooking the beach so you can hear the waves while you go to sleep. The second BR backs up to the hallway so if you sleep late there you'll hear people / kids on their way down to the beach or breakfast, but it's fine for our kids who can sleep through anything.
TV and DVD player worked great, and wi-fi was really fast (usually about 9 Mbits).
We only tried the pool once. It was a bit chilly during our visit (50s / 60s F) and although the pool was heated, it was not warm enough that you felt like really hanging out in it. A hot tub would be nice for cool days/nights, but I don't think they have room for one.
In summary, we would definitely come back to this place, and would recommend it highly to anyone. It sure beats a hotel room, which costs just as much or more, so it's a fantastic value as well.

I wish you could be one of our publicists.... lol. You addressed the major points that I try to address -- our balcony setup is awesome, our location is unsurpassed, our condos are well-appointed, etc. Thank you!
I gotta admit when it is 50-60 degrees out, I don't hang out by the pool either (even though it is always at least 82 degrees). It's just too cold for me. I thought it was just because I am a wimpy Florida native, because I see folks in the pool at all times of the year. I am glad I am not the only one. :-)
I hope you choose us again for next year.
Happy New Year,
