Room 249 has a wonderful view and a great value for lbk. You can't go wrong with this choice

I met my college roommate here for a 4 day girls' getaway. We opted for a deluxe unit where both the bedroom and living room face the gulf. The views were wonderful. We left the sliding doors open every night to have the lullaby of the surf! We had a huge balcony with lots of seating. The room was clean, the furnishings could have been updated, but certainly met our needs. It was comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking a major meal or just serving what you carried in. We appreciated the many many glasses and cups...no need to run the dishwasher very often! Garbage was emptied and towels were changed every day. We were concerned about noise since we were right over the pool. Folks over 60 doing laps in the pool do not make noise! We never heard a sound! And the pool was nice and warm. I loved the place and return, but would not go for the deluxe unit. I would go for a typical one bedroom. The deluxe unit had the bathroom in the back of the bedroom. In the regular unit it is in the hall so you don't have to interrupt someone who is sleeping. Minor point, but important to some. The other negative is that the staff is only there from 9 until 5. We did not find out that our TV did not work until 8 p.m. on our third night (ok, we don't watch TV much). I think it worked, but there were no instructions for the remotes. We suggested they include instructions. They seemed to be surprised that we hadn't checked it earlier. Why would we? We did have a problem with our kitchen faucet. They were there within 10 minutes to repair it! One of the beds was not particularly comfortable, but that may have been personal taste. As you can see, our negatives are very minimal....almost picky! I would definitely return if I were to return to Longboat Key!

This is a relatively small resort comprising about 35 units on two floors ranging from one room Studios to one and two bedroom condo’s. There are a few deluxe condo’s. This is a self catering resort.

The Kitchen in our condo was very well appointed, the fridge was very large, the oven was really gee wizz and the condo also had a good dishwasher. The condo was supplied with fresh towels and linen when needed ,and dishwasher powder and washing up liquid were replenished.

All of the units which make up the resort are individually owned and the standard of furnishings varies from unit to unit.

There is a reasonable size pool for guests which is straight off the sandy beach. The beach is very clean allows safe shallow swimming.

Public areas are well maintained. There is safe off road free car parking.
A guest laundry available although we did not use it.

Wi fi is available and free to use throughout the resort.

Mobile phone coverage is pathetic if very nearly none existent. Check with the resort whether the service has improved if a mobile phone is important to you.

A well stocked supermarket is about a mile away which we found excellent but note that the supermarket site is to be redeveloped and may be temporarily not available depending on your holiday dates.

We found this resort very quite in September but appreciate that September is out of season.

Although we liked the quietness of the resort, it lacked a Bar for guests to congregate and exchange holiday tales.

All in all a well presented condo resort which I would be happy to recommend to others and return to myself.

There is an abundance of wild life to be found on the beach, and pelicans outnumber people, dolphins can be seen swimming quite close to shore. When we have visited the coastline further down on Sanibel Island flies and mosquitoes were a problem but on Longboat key this didn’t seem to be the case.
