“Peaceful luxury on an island only accessible by boat or boat launch...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is our 4th time here...always aboard our boat. There are only about 7 dock spaces and most guests come by car via a boat launch on Little Torch Key. The launch, called the Truman, is a restored wooden express boat. The resort is very low key, very private, and very exclusive. Dinner on the beach with torch lanterns is one of our favorite parts. There are plenty of adult relaxing activities which include hammocks on the beach, lunch by the palm tree surrounded pool, an exercise room and a spa. You have at your disposal free paddle boarding, kayaking, and even small gas engine Boston Whalers dinghies for fun water excursion. It's EXPENSIVE but that's what exclusive is. Dinner for 2 with 1 cocktail ea., 1 wine, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert shared cost $248 last night. That's about average for us here. It's a unique and special place that makes you feel like you flew all the way to Tahiti. Service people are rarely seen, but seem to know when to show up. Grounds are immaculate! OH, and the Key Deer... they make the island feel a little exotic. They only stand 4 feet tall and look like baby deer and are unique to this region of Florida. At night they swim from island to island. It's a great escape for that love affair. People seem to be very private and discreet. Children 16 and under are not allowed, no pets allowed.

Room Tip: As we only come by boat, and stay on our boat, we can't value the rooms. However, sleeping onboa...

So glad we chose a few days at Little Palm Island on our Keys Road Trip. It was perfection from the moment we pulled up to registration. Just a short pleasant boat ride over to the island. The thatched roof suite was spacious and comfortable. Loved the outdoor shower. We were glad we didn't upgrade to a higher level as our suite was private yet close to the pool, beach and spa.

The wildlife at Little Palm was like nothing we had ever seen before. The deer roamed the island as if they were guests, visiting you at the beach, pool or while dining. Fishing was abundant right from the dock or in the available boats you could take out complete with rods and bait. Kayaks and paddle boards readily available as well.

Service was excellent by the pool, beach, bar and at meals. Dinner on the beach is best planned around sunset as you will experience some of the most beautiful sunsets ever seen. The food was exceptional. My only complaint would be the pool. There are so many trees that the pool was always filled with leaves floating on top and on the bottom and felt dirty. The water was really too warm to be refreshing.

Quiet seclusion as cell phones are not to be used in public areas. No phones (except the telephone "outhouse") no TV, no clocks...the perfect "Get Lost" experience. We had a relaxing couples massage in a private secluded cabana. Pure bliss and pampering from beginning to end. Great place to escape the hectic pace of life and reconnect.

Even as we left the pampering continued as our car was waiting for us, air conditioner on, with nice cold bottles of water and a little gift to remember our stay.

Little Palm Island's motto is 'Do Nothing' and it's one we take to heart. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing are the best words to describe LPI. While you may take a book to the beach, it is possible you will end up watching the wild life - real, live entertainment! - rather than escaping into your novel! The days flew by, highlighted by breakfast on our balcony overlooking the water, lazy afternoons on the beach, and mid-day dip in the pool. Evenings were highly anticipated, with a different menu to dazzle (and tempt!) us each night! Many memorable meals, and many memorable moments to cherish for years to come!

Room Tip: All rooms have a water view and are extremely private and comfortable.

This island experience is the most relaxing and special place I have ever been to.
The staff and hotel were exceptional.
They all make you feel so special and as though you are the ONLY people that are being taken care of.
My wife and I were treated like royalty.
The spa and therapists are fantastic. The restaurant is out of this world.
Different menu each evening, wonderful wine list,{most important} and again great service, definitely the most romantic, beautiful and relaxing place tp be.

Room Tip: They are all exceptional, especially The Cormorant suite 16 or suite number 1 They all have a vibe a...

It was everything we could have asked for. The staff was great, the room was perfect and dinner on the beach at sunset was paradise. Weren't sure if we could afford it, but it was worth every cent and will do it again if we get back to the Keys.

After many years of wanting to visit this island, for my birthday I was treated for dinner in this place, nice boat ride to get from parking lot to the island and the restaurant, after you come off the boat you are met by a lady that escort you to the entrance of the restaurant, they do not allow roaming on the island , since the guest pays too much money for their privacy.
We were seated right by the shore of the ocean, very romantic, beautiful view, a young man approached our table, very good service, their waiting staff was great, the food was good but not exceptional to the $$$$$ they charged, I don't think that a piece of grouper, by itself, prepared that way it's worthed $49, the salads were fine, there again not to the tune of that kind of $$$$$$, the wine was good, the bread was okay, the side orders were ok but not exceptional,,,,, dessert good presentation but again for $25 Not Sure???? If You Have the money to spend???? And you want a different experience?? Then this is the place for you, deers wondering around, and ocean within 10 feet of you, tiki torches and Islandy experience, I am glad we went one time probably would not return, take much$$$$$$

My wife and I spent three nights at Little Palm Island last November for our anniversary. As a person who cannot sit still, I was concerned that I would go crazy on a little islan in the keys. How wrong I was! What a great place to just relax, take in the beautiful property, the great views, the friendly and interesting people (if you choose to mingle a little), the incredible privacy and solitude (if you don't) with outstanding service that is complete, but not ever intrusive. It is the perfect setting for classy romance. Of course, My inner "type A" required us to sail in their catamaran, paddle in their kayaks, and take a trip around the island on their paddle board, but otherwise we relaxed with breakfast on our very private deck, got some sun in various private locations around the island, planned our meals around fabulous massages, had slow dinners sitting literally at the water's edge, enjoyed a night cap listening to the nightly entertainment under the slowly turning outdoor ceiling fans, and otherwise had a wonderful time. We can be prone to being food snobs, especially as prices rise, but we did not have a single bite in three days that disappointed (although by the third night, we had gorged so much we down shifted to some lighter fair). We bought the plan with breakfast and spa credits, which I highly recommend; the breakfast was delicious, and the spa treatments really special in a beautiful environment. Each of those items is pricey if taken ala carte, and you shouldn't skimp on either, so the package is a bargain. iour stay was admittedly pricey, but from the first cool drink they hand you at the dock on shore, to the return trip on your way home, it is worth every relaxing and romantic moment.

Room Tip: I was concerned we might not get a good hut. Ours facing the ocean (rather than the keys) was fabul...
