“R&R First Class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

My wife and I spent three nights at Little Palm Island last November for our anniversary. As a person who cannot sit still, I was concerned that I would go crazy on a little islan in the keys. How wrong I was! What a great place to just relax, take in the beautiful property, the great views, the friendly and interesting people (if you choose to mingle a little), the incredible privacy and solitude (if you don't) with outstanding service that is complete, but not ever intrusive. It is the perfect setting for classy romance. Of course, My inner "type A" required us to sail in their catamaran, paddle in their kayaks, and take a trip around the island on their paddle board, but otherwise we relaxed with breakfast on our very private deck, got some sun in various private locations around the island, planned our meals around fabulous massages, had slow dinners sitting literally at the water's edge, enjoyed a night cap listening to the nightly entertainment under the slowly turning outdoor ceiling fans, and otherwise had a wonderful time. We can be prone to being food snobs, especially as prices rise, but we did not have a single bite in three days that disappointed (although by the third night, we had gorged so much we down shifted to some lighter fair). We bought the plan with breakfast and spa credits, which I highly recommend; the breakfast was delicious, and the spa treatments really special in a beautiful environment. Each of those items is pricey if taken ala carte, and you shouldn't skimp on either, so the package is a bargain. iour stay was admittedly pricey, but from the first cool drink they hand you at the dock on shore, to the return trip on your way home, it is worth every relaxing and romantic moment.

Room Tip: I was concerned we might not get a good hut. Ours facing the ocean (rather than the keys) was fabul...

Beautiful, felt like you were in the Caribbean but over priced for not having a beach. Lovely beach chairs, umbrellas but no body of water to swim in. The Inn is lovely, service is way beyond expectations and food outstanding, don't order beef or meat, just doesn't happen.
Dress is Country Club casual, no jeans for dinner, more casual for lunch and breakfast. No sees ems (small bugs) were in their biting mood from time to time, which made for unpleasant dining or sitting my the pool. Question: Would I go again. Answer: yes, but at a much lesser rate.

Everything about this place is exquisite. We were picked up by a small enclosed boat and greeted by a friendly captain. Formal dressed code is enforced. It's so beautiful and picturesque you don't mind waiting for the boat.

The boat ride to the restaurant is 3 miles off shore. We took the 6:30 shuttle so we were lucky enough to enjoy a beautiful view of the sunset.

Upon arrival our hostess was waiting for us at the dock. After confirming our reservation by last name she walked us in, briefing us about the resort. We had the option to sit indoor, on the beach, or on the deck. I'm petite so I chose on the deck. The beach and decks are illuminated and have tiki torches for bug control. At one point my fiancé was having some issues with the bugs so the bus boy went and brought him bug spray.

Collaboratively the staff worked well with each other. So well you really couldn't decipher who was the bus boy, who was the one switching your silverware and the waitress. Team effort looks great and made us feel comfortable.

Food was absolutely amazing. The menu changes on a daily basis which I thought was great. I ordered the Ribeye which was absolutely tender and perfectly cooked to order. With my steak I had a baked potatoe loaded with pancetta. It was a nice booster. My fiancé had the Scallops which were gone in a matter of minutes. The Maple pork belly appetizer was my favorite.

We didnt sleep at the resort however with that fine of a dining upscale experience it's definitely an option to stay at. Either way I recommend to all who want to experience a divine dining experience. Very romantic, service was exceptional and most importantly the food was delicious!

Thank you for sharing. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your romantic dinner at Little Palm. There is something about that quick ferry ride that truly makes you feel removed from the “real world”. We are thrilled that you found your meal to be delicious and our team members to be attentive and collaborative! We hope to welcome you back for a couple nights in the future!

Wonderful way to spend a few days with your partner and connect. Plenty to do with a slower pace to enjoy the daybut a wonderful way to enjoy one another in a beautiful setting. Not a real beach vacation as there was limited sand - but perfect for a Fall weekend getaway. Recommend snorkling and taking advantage of the hammock for couples as the tide comes in at sunset.

Room Tip: Ask for the side with less wind There are flying bugs - so ask about that too - what season

The place itself is unique and a must visit for a couple of days or just to dine. The island and nature surround it is amazing. Staff is attentive, rooms are old fashioned, but clean. Breakfast and dinner is good, overall the venue is great, bit pricey, which is understandable, keeping that hidden piece of heaven.

The most romantic moment is a private dinner at the beach with deers and pelicans, unforgettable moments!

Went to Little Palm to celebrate my birthday with my wife. Very attentive and helpful staff. Cocktails are fantastic. Dinner on the beach is very memorable- thanks Brenda! Island is very small and private. Pool and beach areas are small and not private. Stayed in one of the large suites- great space, but you can hear your neighbors. No tipping policy is also nice. Wooden boat trip to and from was also a highlight. Pricey but unique! Would be perfect for 2-3 day stay or a wedding.

This hotel is amazing. Service of the highest order, good food and one of the best massages I have ever had.

I highly recommend this hotel if you want to get away from it all but cannot leave the United States.

Room Tip: You are spending a lot so I would spend the extra and upgrade to the second tier of rooms
