“Exceeded every expectation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2011

Just returned from a quick four day trip to Key West, three spent on LPI. I wanted a special place to propose to my GF, and truly found it at LPI. The beautiful setting, luxurious accommodations, and excellent service exceeded the high expectations we had for this event.
We have never been to a more relaxing, romantic resort. The bungalows are secluded, quiet, and immaculate. The pictures on the website truly reflect the luxurious feel of the bedroom. The bath was elegant, the outdoor shower fun and private. Very pleased with the accommodations.
I was surprised to read a review that comp, aimed there was not enough to do on LPI. After all, their mantra is "Do Nothing". And we spent plenty of time just soaking up the sun on the uncrowded beach or upon one of the many docks, where pairs of beach lounges are liberally scattered-- never a problem finding a place to be alone. The beach and docks were so nice we never sat by or swam in the pool! But you can be active there: we ran two mornings (nine loops around the outer pathway gives you a 5K, and going from seashell trail to docks to beach kept the runs from being (too) monotonous; we paddle boarded, swam off the docks, had a spa service, shopped the gift shop, worked out twice in the small but well equipped fitness center-- we had to remind ourselves to slow down and relax.
The meals were pricey (as expected) but excellent. We did the Chef's Table our last night, and really enjoyed the backstage experience. Chef Alex was welcoming, fun, gave us lots of attention as he supervised his kitchen staff. Well worth the expense, highly recommended.
The service staff were first-rate. Never intruding on our privacy, but readily available, they have a knack for knowing just when a cold bottled water or a fresh towel would be nice. Well trained in customer service, they were there when we needed something but discretely absent when it was time to just be alone.
I can't say enough about the beauty of this place, the helpful staff, the secluded and intimate bungalows, the way everyone we met seemed to want us to make the most of our brief stay. My GF/fiancee said it best when she looked over from her lounge chair, warm and drowsy from a few hours in the sun, and murmured "this place is heaven".
So glad we came here.

We just enjoyed a wonderful 4 night relaxing stay at this wonderful place - our 6th stay in the past 5 years. We're addicted. From the minute you arrive until the moment you leave you're treated with exceptional care and attention. Little Palm is the most wonderful place to truly relax and get away from the stress of life - lie on the little beach or by the pool, read a book, enjoy a spa treatment, lie on a chaise on one of the docks, enjoy the beautiful scenery and lush foliage, have a treat at the poolside bar, enjoy breakfast on the deck of your hut, chat with the wonderful, warm staff, enjoy dining on the beach at sunset...or if you like, go kayaking, boating, snorkeling, work out in the fitness room. We look forward to seeing many of the same wonderful staff each year - Renda, Brenda, Chris, Rolando, Anna-li, Janis, Carla...and meeting new ones. The food is pricey, but very good, and we were accomodated with some special requests with no problem. Try ordering the fruit/yogurt plate for breakfast on your deck one morning....we counted the types of fruit...14 in all! It's hard to say what we like best about this place. It's simply wonderful in every respect, and we always, always look forward to returning!

As soon as you get off the boat they tell you not to swim.
The island is tiny and you feel cramped. Nothing to do as far as walking trails, water sports, etc. Pool is small and can't accommodate all guests.
Restaurant very limited selections, you end up with 8 tablespoons of the most expensive meats and pasta available. Did I just spend 300$ on that? Yes, and that was just one dinner. We ended up taking the boat out to the mainland daily for meals.
Accommodations? Just fair. Most huts have no view at all. You don't even feel like you are on a beach when inside the huts.
Would not go back, just simply not worth it.

We extend our most sincere apologies. Little Palm Island does their best to make every guest's stay exquisite and unique. The complimentary water sports we have are kayaks, paddle boards, day sailer, motor boats, snorkel and fishing gear. Available for an additional fee would be deep sea and back country fishing, eco tours, seaplane tours, sailing charters, Key West excursions. It is our goal to exceed expectations and we are sorry that you feel like that courtesy was not extended to you. Thank you very much for your feedback and taking the time to write a review.

We went for a long weekend for my wife's 40th birthday. It was so relaxing and it was great to unwind. We had a wonderful time and everyone was friendly. The only complaint that we had was the service in the restaurant. There were times when the waitress disappeared and we did not see her for 15 - 20 minutes. After the brunch on Sunday, we gave up waiting for our dessert when it did not arrive after 20 minutes. The food is excellent and worth the additional cost. We did the Chef's Table and I would highly recommend it. It was fun to actually see how the kitchen works and Chef Alex spent a lot of time talking to us. Overall the staff was very attentive to all of our needs. This is a place that we definitely will go back to.

Just do it. You won't regret it - ever. It was the most romantic trip with my spouse but it would be an amazing place to recharge alone too. Just go!

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. Beautiful rooms, exquisite food - pefect scenery. Nothing to do, but reconnect. Loved being totally unplugged and sitting out on the dock fishing.

We picked this island for a romantic trip. Rooms are unique but ours was really tired. The bathroom looks like it was from the 80s. While clean, it was dark and outdated. There is no beach for swimming and the pool is really small and looks like it needs to be resurfaced. The food is AMAZING but you will have to pay for it. The thing that sets this place apart is the staff. They are warm, attentive, unobtrusive and interesting. Next time we visit we hope Renda, Chris, Mary, Brenda, Chef Lewis and Susan are still there! If not, we might not return.

Room Tip: We heard some rooms have been updated.
