“Not the place for much of anything”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2011 via mobile

Just ate here recently. Service was poor. Food was very very sub par. I'm sure some one who hasn't eaten in days may appreciate.

“Delicious Food and Incredible Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2011

I am a vegetarian and I tired this restaurant for the first time two hours ago. It was so good that I felt compelled to write an online review. It was hard to find. My GPS could not locate it. Nevertheless, after two calls to the restaurant, I was air-trafficked there by the owner. I was seated immediately, and ordered my dinner. While I waited briefly, the owner helped me log on to their WIFI. Honestly, it was well worth the 20 minutes drive to the restaurant. They have an extensive menu, very reasonable prices, delicious VEGETARIAN food, and awesome service. I will definitely be going back there and introducing it to a number of my friends.

“UPDATE: Under New (Bad) Management”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2010

Unfortunately, my sparkling review below is now, moot. New owners with smarmy attitudes, pushy waiters, and staff that look like they just stepped from a cheesy 70s hood flick. We gave them a shot, but the food was a pale and sad imitation. I get the feeling there will also be a price hike. This wonderful restaurant and its beloved polite, professional staff are now gone, replaced by what can only be described as ham-handed quick-buck turnover. Time to find a new Indian restaurant. No Stars out of what once was five.

“Loosing its Authenticity?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2010

This restaurant was owned by a South Indian guy who made authentic South indian Vegetarian food. recently Place was sold out to somebody from North India. The food has lost its authenticity now. looks like the previous cooks do not work there. I could not eat the food last time i was there. the new owners are destroying the place. My humble request: Bring back the old chefs. You cannot cook South Indian food.

“Always pleasant... always satisfying!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2010

The Woodlands serves exotic and flavorful Southern Indian cuisine (no meat) and it does this consistently and inexpensively, and, refreshingly for South Florida, modestly and friendlily.

You never leave hungry and are always glad you came. It is family friendly but not loud and hectic - calm and relaxing is the order of the day.

The Food: Delicious and flavorful, from a simple tomato soup, to Udapai, Curries, Chutneys, Colossal Dosai, crunchy Voda and Papadums, to real tandoori baked Nan. I recommend the Raja Dinner Combo for newcomers - its a little of everything. The mango lasas are always sweet and quenching, as some of the dishes really have authentic down-hom southern indian FIRE! The deserts are exotic and deceptively simple - and irresistible! I recommend the Payasam!

The Service: sweet, accommodating, and impeccable.

The Price: Unbelievably reasonable. Great food for very little cost.

Overall, the best Indian experience to be found in Broward County. You will never know you re eating vegetarian.
