We have frequented Su-Shin numerous times. It has always been our favorite sushi restaurant and one of our favorite restaurants overall. Several years ago it changed hands and added Thai food to the menu. Our experiences since then have been OK until the other night. We could deal with the change in preparation of our favorite dishes as long as they were still outstanding but this was not the case.
The MacCheese roll was tasteless and the topping was dry. The same goes for a mussel appetizer (Mikey’s Mussels). The topping which was supposed to be creamy, was a unpleasant solid piece that came away from the mussel. When we asked the waitress to describe some of the specials, she was clueless. Though the restaurant does not have hand rolls on the menu per se we have always ordered hand rolls from the roll menu with no problem. Again the waitress was clueless. We have not had Thai food at the restaurant and cannot comment on that.
