“Very Comfortable Relaxing Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2010

We booked our reservation through Orbitz at their sister hotel. Orbitz never sent our reservation to the hotel. The hotel was booked but they found us a room at the Little Inn. The staff at both hotels are excellent, helpful and very friendly. The location could not be better. Right on the beach. It isn't the Hilton, but it is clean, friendly staff, the rooms are quaint and charming.
But, don't count on the continental breakfast for sustenance. It's edible, and better than nothing, but there are plenty of places to find good food nearby.

I read many of the reviews on this website before my stay at "a little inn too" and I have to say that many of the people who wrote negative reviews must be very picky. This hotel is not a 5 star resort so don't expect anything fancy. The hotel is small and could use some more work, but for the price and the location this hotel is worth every penny.

We stayed in the building that has been partly renovated and were pleased with our room and the property itself. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not have any issues during our stay.

I can only assume that some of the negative reviews came from people that stayed in one of the non-renovated rooms, but with that said I can't imagine the rooms are much different other than maybe not looking as pretty.

If you are not sure whether to book this hotel or not because of the negative reviews I would tell you this: If you are looking for a fancy hotel with all the bells and whistles this is not the hotel for you. If you are looking for a small hotel with everything you need for a nice beach get away than this is the hotel for you.

We arrived at the Little Inn by the Sea , to see that they require double parking. We asked the front desk lady and she said they sometimes have a problem with it. Couldn't belive it if you were parked and someone parked behind you. you couldn't leave. Then we asked to see the room. Walking three flights of stairs with no elevator, We saw a small room with a tiny kitchen, good view but Nothing like the website shows and describes. It appeared there we some loud foreign cuban family living at the motel they took over the place and interrupted my sleep. The smell of Mary jane was also extreame when you walked out the room. I wish I would have listed to the reviews on trip advisor. The room was $190.00 a night it was not worth it. Unless you like loud. forign and large pot smoking families that live there as staff taking over the property and don't mind double parking, overpriced annoying staff. The beach and view wasn't that great. The beach slopped in and made it hard to walk on.I wouldn't go back nor recommend it to anyone .

Stayed for two weeks with husband and our little daughter. The apartement was big and recently renovated and had a kitchen wich was great for us so we could make meals for our picky daughter. Cleaning was OK, yes there was some dust in the corners and under the bed but we knew it wasn't a 5 star hotel we had booked. The bathroom and beds were always clean. You can't call it a breakfast, for that you should go to Denny's instead, but if you don't eat breakfast and settle for a coffee and a bagel you should be fine. There was yoghurt, cereals, milk, juice, bananas or apples and donughts but if any of it was out there were no one to replace it during that morning. Pool area was ok, the furnitures stayes out during all kind of weather so yes, it doesn't look like they are brand new ones but very comfy, and if everybody used a towel before laying down on them they would probably look a little better beacause of the clorated water in the pool. The pool was cleaned three times during the week. Sand from the beach and leaves from the trees was the only "dirty" things in the pool, our daughter was fond of both pools and there were toys there she could play with. Staff was very friendly and helpful, we got all the help we wanted. Located directly on the beach was the main reason we booked this hotel and we were defintly not disapointed! You also got towels for the beach chairs . A five minutes walk to a big grocery store-Publix , BEST sushi we ever had!!!!! and very nice restaurangs a couple of minutes walk in the other direction. We had a wonderful vacation but the impression from other guests, that had returned to the hotel, was that it had change for the worse.

We booked this hotel on the internet 11 months ago and the money was taken from our card immediately. We were travelling around Florida and this was our 7th hotel out of 9 - all others booked through the same company were exceptional and had our booking. We turned up and from outside my heart sank, it got even worse upon entering it was scruffy and looked unkept. When we found reception the girl said there was no booking (even though they had our money and we had a reservation number) and why had we not phoned to check, we live in the UK! That was it we had travelled 6,000 miles and that is all they did. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We did find another hotel 100 yards further away and it was wonderful, I think we had a lucky escape.

DO NOT stay here!! The rooms are FILTHY, RATS all over the place, hotel grounds are NOT kept well, DIRTY pool, and I can go on and on. After only one terrible night at this dump, we packed up and left. One of the employees let us in on all the dirty secrets - they use the guest towels to clean the rooms, management knows about the rats - but shrugs it off as "they only come out at night", unsafe building, etc. Very dirty, and extremely UNSANITARY. We will NEVER stay here again and hopefully you won't make the same mistake!!

What you see online and what you get are two different things. It is not that nice. Our room was full of dust. The dust was accumulated on the light fixtures and around the beds. The doors were dirty and disgusting. The furniture was new but not nearly as nice as pictured on the website. The "deluxe continental breakfast" consisted of cereal from old dirty dispensers and bagels out of a bag. The outdoor furniture was old and nasty. There was no way you wanted to sit on it. It is next to an abandoned, hurricane wrecked building.
At 4:!5 one morning I heard some noise in the kitchen and awoke to rats in the kitchen eating through a bag of bread!! We immediately packed up and left to another hotel.
The only good thing about this place is the location. Stay here if you want to save money and sleep with rats in a filthy environment.
