“Feels like home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

Our accommodations were amazing. Everything was brand new and super clean. The staff made us feel like family. Whatever we needed was within walking distance. We celebrated my sisters wedding outside by the pool and it was everything we expected it to be. Can't wait to go back!

We stayed hear last week for our girls weekend and we couldn't have been happier! Such a warm, friendly, family atmosphere! We had a two bedroom suite that was so comfortable. Went to Publix around the corner to make it feel more like home, no need to buy coffee because Ricardo had it ready for us bright and early. Even when going to see the sunrise at the beach, the coffee was ready, an hour before noted. Loved the Cape Cod/beach decor!! I cannot wait to come back!

We stayed at this beautiful and cozy resort in August of 2013. It was a last minute trip and they were booked, but said if we didn't mind they could accommodate us in a newly renovated studio in a building that was still under construction. I was nine months pregnant and just needed a quick get-away so we said it was ok. When we arrived, EVERYONE was so warm and welcoming. Even the construction workers were so nice. As soon as they saw us, they said they would try not to make much noise in the morning so we could sleep in. The resort is beautiful! The suite was gorgeous! It's a very short walk to the beach (just across a small residential street), and they lend you chairs and umbrellas. They also own a restaurant (the fish dip is amazing!) on the pier which is a few blocks away. They can take you on their golf cart or you can walk a few blocks. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay here and will definitely be going back!

Fantastic, we have gone away many a weekend, but our weekend at BVR was and is etched in our minds as the absolute best! Our accommodations were exceptional and the staff is so professional and accommodating and so nice and friendly. We grilled by the gorgeous pool, had drinks at sunset up on the rooftop along with some dancing up there too! They provided Tommy Bahama beach chairs for our use at the ocean and my husband being from Marblehead Ma., enjoyed the names of each room and the room decor, it's a beautiful hotel, you will have the best time and stay! It's exceptional at the least, Amy & Lucky were so kind and friendly, we can hardly wait to return!

We stayed here last week for 4 nights.

The pros: near the beach, nice pool, clean grounds and room, pleasantly decorated room, comfortable bed, people managing are friendly and accommodating, offered a glass of wine upon check in.

The cons: no coffee for coffeemaker, no glasses for water, no magnifying mirror, no full length mirror, no hair dryer, no desk or chairs in room, bed too high, paper thin walls could hear laughing and yelling next door until 11pm and very limited parking. As advertised there was no complimentary breakfast at The Village Grille, but around the pool from 9-11am we saw coffee (didn't see any decaf or tea, etc.), some fruit in a bowl, a couple yogurts and a three pieces of bread (excellent bread though) by a toaster. This was around 9am and that is all we saw. That is not breakfast. And 9am is way too late for us.

On Friday evening it appeared there was a wedding at the pool area. People were loud, hooting and hollering as the evening progressed. We could hear it in our room. The people next door were super loud too, but did quiet down at 11pm.

On Saturday evening there was an anniversary party in a tent covering the pool area. Again, VERY annoying and loud including people making numerous toasts using the loud PA system.

Both nights we needed to get to sleep around 9pm because we had to get up early the next day, but were unable to because of the noise until after 11pm. I had to wear ear plugs both nights. We felt like we were hostages in our room because we couldn't go down to the pool or sit on the balcony or do anything but endure the noise. We considered leaving early and staying near the airport, but we didn't.

We also had a hard time finding a parking place as the party guests took the few parking spaces there were. We finally found one parking space both nights. If we hadn't found that one space, I don't know where we would have parked or who we would have contacted because the office closes at 7pm.

We will not stay there again.

Room Tip: Don't stay in a room surrounding the pool area. Ask if they are having any parties that weekend...

I stood here for 26 days during the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show. Can't say enough about the rooms, beds, grounds, cleanliness and especially the staff. By far the best place in Lauderdale- by-the-Sea. Look no further.

I stayed at Beachside Village Resort over Columbus Day weekend. My brother lives in the area and scouted out several of the privately owned hotels near the beach. The owners were very nice about showing him the rooms and he determined that this was by far the most updated and modern of the choices. Traveling alone, safety was also important, and I felt very secure at the Beachside Village Resort. Upon arrival I was offered beer or wine and after a long day of flying I accepted their hospitality. I was also upgraded to a suite which was appointed beautifully. Each room is named after a New England location and the beach theme is constant throughout the resort. Everything in the room was clean and fresh. The beach is across the street and the hotel supplies towels and chairs. The location is amazing. Walk to beach, town and Publix. I will not hesitate to spend another weekend at this hotel.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms are pretty, but you will have to drag your luggage up stairs.
