My wife and I were wandering around Lakeland recently and decided to eat at Black & Brew. We both had their coffee - nice flavor and not too weak! For dinner my wife had the "Choose Two" with a half grilled white cheddar sandwich with a bowl of cheddar broccoli soup (soups change regularly) while I had the Steak and truffled portobello mushroom Flat accompanied by a cup of the roasted red pepper soup. The flat is a large open faced entree on a large piece of flat bread - not unlike a handmade tortilla and then grilled.
The soups and the sandwich (panini pressed) were excellent. The components in th flat were quite nice but there wasn't enough to bring them together - presumably the job of the truffle oil which was sparsely applied. I really wanted to like the flat but it just left me a little - pardon the pun - flat.
Would I go back? For sure.
