I read the negative review below and just had to put in my 2 cents! I just found out about this site so I will rate all our RV resort stays.
At check in we were greeted by very friendly & informative staff. We were shown to our site and after we had hooked up a member of the staff came by to check if everything was OK & if we needed anything. Very nice touch, we had only experienced this at 5 star resorts like Outdoor Resort locations. I don't know if they do this to everyone especially when they are swamped w/ check-ins or they were just passing by. Regardless, NICE TOUCH!
The resort is easily located off SR 44 which is a 4 lane highway w/ median which makes it easy to enter the resort from either direction. I-75 & the Florida Turnpike are minutes away but there was little or no highway noise here. It was our first visit and we were in space #122, it was level w/ a cement patio & picnic table, FHU, with a new 50, 30, & 20 AMP power pedestal & cable TV (our King Dome Satellite tuned in on the first time). This group of RV spaces are in a manicured grass circle which would be ideal for a group or a Rally's central location/headquarters. It is also adjacent to their new Club House. I am a stickler for water pressure and electricity both were excellent.
It is apparent the new owners have been working very hard to upgrade the Resort, the pool and patio area have been enlarged & completely refurbished. The entrance roadway has been repaved and the landscaping was very professional. We used the laundry and found it freshly repainted, clean and very reasonably priced. I have never seen bathrooms/showers as nice as these ANYWHERE.
We had chosen this resort on a recommendation from a full-time RV'er and w/ their experience on the road we felt safe in their referral and we were not disappointed. We stopped in for a night on our way south to Miami & and we stayed 3 nights! We toured the area extensively to locate a resort to spend the months of Jan. to Mar. and found this to be the best value and have made reservations to return 1/14/09 for 3 months.
This is a pet friendly resort and they have a great boat ramp just outside their resort exit which would be a real plus for boaters & fishermen. It is ideally located to be a central location to home-base to experience Tampa, Orlando, and the Gulf Coast beach towns. All the majors stores and services are available in the Inverness & Wildwood areas less than 15 minutes away in either direction.
