We stayed here Nov. 30, 2007 for 3 days and it was great! First of all, on the reservation comments we noted that we were going there for our honeymoon. Upon arrival we were greeted and the staff (who I guess read this note) and congratulated us. She then said, "I will give you a great room" and she was not kidding. She gave us a huge corner room on the 8th floor. The view was awesome!

We were surprise to find out the hotel was far from the attractions (Disney, Universal, etc) about 40+ minutes. The hotel is also very business oriented, which we had no problem with but this might be something to keep in mind if you want to feel "on vacation" since everybody seems to be working and dressed up (and you might look a little underdressed).

We had dinner in the restaurant one day and it was really good.

I definetely recomend this hotel. The room was big and super clean. The staff was great!

Attended a conference at this hotel. Conference rooms are standard but the rest of the hotel and its grounds are excellent. Rooms are large, up-to-date, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Their wired Internet access in the rooms is fast and reliable and the wireless access in public spaces is easily accessible.

The grounds are impeccably maintained. Restaurants are within walking distance and a number of other restaurants -- local and national chains -- are within a few minutes drive of the hotel. Its location in a leafy business park means that the hotel is surrounded by green grass and trees and the zoning keeps ugly signs and roadside development out.

Clearly the staff is well chosen and well trained here. Nothing laid back about any of them. Very friendly and helpful people, at the front desk and in the dining room, were accompanied by a well-kept property. Reception was quick, the room was spotless (well, except for one minor problem), and everything was in place and working. Morning breakfast in the dining room was a nice buffet, plenty of fresh eggs, made-to-order omelets, fruits, meats and cereals. Overall, this was a very nice Marriott experience. The hotel is situated next to a small strip mall with several good dining choices, also.

I stayed at the Lake Mary Marriott for two nights while on business. This hotel was in a decent location and had rooms that were well-appointed and of adequate size. There was a good sized fitness center and a nice pool and jacuzzi.
However, the hotel by no means lived up to the what I consider to be Marriott standards. Upon arriving, I had to navigate through piles of dirty sheets/towels strewn all over the hallway. Apparently, housekeeping at this hotel is not in the habit of putting dirty laundry in a rolling hamper, which is what you usually see in other hotels. It was absolutely disgusting. This occurred again the next day, so I have to assume that this is the practice at this hotel.
The bathroom floor looked like it had not been washed in months, and obviously not even swept as there was hair all over the tiles. Again, disgusting.
The carpeting, too, looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. I made sure that my bare feet never touched the floor!
When my room was freshened the covers on the bed looked like they were just hastily pulled up and the bedspread was left wrinkled and askew.
I awoke to find that the maid had not left coffee and in fact had failed to remove yesterday's dirty coffee cup.
The bathroom near the conference facilities was strewn with litter and out of toilet paper.
I complained to the manager (he acted shocked, but I would think that he has to be aware of the shoddy housekeeping practices, especially the practice of putting dirty linens all over the hallway). Also, I wrote to Marriott, but to this date have had no response.
Also, there was no newspaper as promised on the Marriott website.
There are many hotels in the vicinity of this one and I would advise choosing another.
