This is a fun place. It is also known as the "Lake Helen Diner." We were initially confused about this.
The ambiance is mostly what you'd expect in a diner, with a few decorative flairs that make it interesting. They also have a kids area, and there is a beautiful park right next door.
The food was reasonably priced and good. It was not "great," as everyone had told us, but that is, of course, subject to personal opinion. In keeping with the "family" atmosphere, they don't serve alcohol. That was a not a factor in our decision, but something to note if you're looking for a cold beer or glass of wine.
They have live music every weekend. We'll likely go back for that.
In the end, I would not make a special trip to eat here, but if you are in DeLand, Lake Helen or Cassadaga, it's worth a drop-in. We were glad to be able to help support the city.
