“it was just ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2010

My friends picked this place because they got a cheap deal by agreeing to attend one of those seminars where they try to convince you to buy a time share. So it was cheap for them but I had to pay full price for my room, but it was still not that expensive. I liked the breakfast but it was kind of the same thing every day and got boring. We didn't use the pool much. It was pretty small for such a big hotel.

I didn't like the fact that my windows didn't open. The place had that weird, musty, airconditioner mold smell all the time.

Also we were steered wrong by the young concierge guys. I knew that there were 2 large outlet malls but couldn't remember both names and both addresses. One is called Prime and the other is called Premium. They only knew about one of them and seemed clueless when we wanted information about the second one.

Each time during breakfast there were employees going around the lobby asking guests to complete a survey. They didn't recognize me and I was asked every day to complete the survey.

Also I remember the business centre being weird. I think there were only 2 computers and no chairs and you had to pay and stand up to type.. and no mouse.. Inconvenient and only good for desperate situation.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay here and would recommend this accommodation. The room was spacious and clean and towels were changed daily. We should probably have researched the surrounding area more as we felt it was a lot further away from the likes of Seaworld and Universal and some of the main shopping areas than we would have liked.
The hotel provides a shuttle service to the main parks but the return times from seaworld and universal are 7.30 - 7.45 so if you want to stay later than that a cab back would cost up to $40.
The Linx bus service worked out much cheaper for us on the occasions that we missed the shuttle bus back as it stops on the 192 right next to old town. The hotel won't give info on the linx buses but timetables are available on the buses.
We didn't use the hotel snack bar but found a couple of good places to eat on the other side of the 192, although crossing that is not for the faint hearted!! We'd recommend Bennigans and Logans Roadhouse though get here early as it fills up pretty quickly!
We travelled here with Virgin and their nearest welcome meeting is at Best Western Lakeside or at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney both of which are $20 -$25 cab ride. So although we liked both the hotel and the area we would recommend car hire if you want to stay longer in the non Disney parks or visit the further away shopping malls.

My husband and I stayed here with our 7 and 10 year old for 7 days and had an amazing stay! The bed was great nice and soft like I prefer (my husband thought it was too soft though). The housekeeping staff was really nice and we always had plenty of clean towels.

The standard suite was a little smaller than I had imagined, was really just a normal King hotel room with a pull out couch. But it worked great for us. The location of the property was great. A little too great, though, our kids were talking about going to FUN SPOT (located across the street) while we were in Magic Kingdom!!

The 24-hour pool was just great, always clean and always had clean towels. The kids enjoyed swimming after visiting the parks. The pool bar was excellent - the "Mango Tango" is a must try. :) The free breakfast was definitely a HUGE bonus. The food was good, cereal, muffins, juice, donuts and a few hot options (sausage, Mickey Waffles, beans, etc.) and coffee / tea all day. We were a little tired of it by day 3 though, and walked down to McDonalds (about a 1/2 mile) to get breakfast a few days.

Speaking of walking, there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. We walked 1-2 miles every night to dinner, and enjoyed every minute of it. I burned calories and the kids got to see lizards, bugs, and even a snake on our journey (they were THRILLED!).

This is a great hotel at a VERY affordable price. If we come to Disney again, we will be staying here for sure! I highly recommend it.

My family stopped at this Comfort Suites for one night on the way to Disney. We liked the location - minutes from parks. We were really impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. We booked through the Choice Hotels.com. We were surprised to find a really nice breakfast - meats, eggs, oatmeal, etc. The kids loved the Mickey waffles!
The only negative thing I could complain about would be the "resort" service charge and tax (total added to bill; $6.46). Although this is a VERY nice hotel, I would not classify it as a resort. We enjoyed our stay; however, and with the nice breakfast included, I won't complain!

We had a great visit, this hotel is a great 3 star value. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the accomodations were clean and comfortable. We had a snafu with the amusment park tickets we purchased through the on site guest services and the hotel management worked with the 3rd party guest service to correct it promptly and stress free. It could have been a nightmare but they made sure we were taken care of.

We booked The Comfort Suites because it was great value for money and after reading the reviews on it we thought it seemed a good option. I can honestly say that it was the perfect chooice for me and my family, the location was fantastic close to plenty of restaurants and within a five minute drive of the diney parks and only another 10 minutes to Universal. The free breakfast was great although it won't be to everyones taste it was convenient and saved us a heap of money and time every morning. The rooms were clean and spacious and the fridge was great keeping our drinks cold for the next days park. The pool area was perfect to chill out in and although the hotel was busy you never felt crowded. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed from Jun 30th -July 7th, 2010. Everything thing was perfect, very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Very, very clean rooms. The maid even made designs with the towels. We used the desk service to purchase tickets to Disney and Sea World and tocall taxi's. This saved a lot of time. Great location within walking distance to many restaurants and to Old town and the Fun Spot. Prices at the gift shop for laundry det etc was very reasonable. Yes, elevators were slow but stairs were accessable. We would definately recommend this hotel and we will go back again.
