This hotel is not a 5 star hotel, it is older but has been refurbished nicely. I have stayed in 5 star hotels and you are nickel and dimed for every service. This Quality Inn had great beds (slept better than at home!) and a good breakfast with eggs, sausage, cereal, etc. The staff were excellent and remembered who we were and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They held packages, had wifi and more for no additional charges and we got a great rate to begin with!! Highly recommend and we will be back!!

I just don't get the 4.5 star rating of this motel on Tripadvisor. As a frequent traveller, and platinum member in the Choice Hotels loyalty program, I'm simply dumbfounded. Folks, this is a garden-variety, extremely average Quality Inn. No more and no less. It's decent value, but it's not special in any regard that I observed.

First, it's an older motel with doors opening to outside walkways (think 1970s Holiday Inn). Someone in a review claimed to get 2 queen beds, but our rooms had the smaller double beds. Room decor was good -- probably the single best feature of this motel -- with brightly painted walls, animal-themed art work and functional Quality Inn-like furniture. The beds were OK, and featured Quality Inn's odd small pillows. Twice, we had a very loud roar from the water pipes (as loud as a lawnmower in our room) lasting about a minute. It woke me up as I was falling asleep. Very odd.

Breakfast was poor, at least in the sense that it was a breakfast you'd eat only because it's free, not because it was any good. Despite lavish tales here of a good hot breakfast, the hotel features 2 hot items a day (plus the ubiquitous waffle maker). For our breakfast, we had sausage links (decent) and egg frisbees (terrible). Add your low-quality bread products, some basic yogurt and fruit and voila -- a very typical free breakfast from Quality Inn and other budget motels.

There are pros and cons to the hotel's location. If you're headed to Disney, it's close, right on the southern border of Disney's (large) property. It's also in one of the tackiest stretches of sprawl surrounding Disney: nearby businesses are all tourist-trade places featuring towel/t-shirt deals, cheap buffets, etc. As a tourist, you might want to visit some of these places, but there's sure no "Disney magic" outside your window.

Bottomline, this is a fine place to crash if you're visiting Disney and just want a cheap, decent nearby motel. But if you're expecting something special -- as suggested by it's very lofty tripadvisor score -- you'll possibly be as disappointed as I was. And left wondering why Orlando motel reviews are much less reliable than most tripadvisor reviews.

Great hotel - within easy to reach Disney.
Also within easy reach of lots of places to eat.
Clean and tidy hotel inside and out.
Food was good and staff were very helpful.
We would definitely return next time we plan to visit Florida.

Clean, inviting, nothing to complain about in the least. I would recommend this as an inexpensive option when doing the Disney thing. It is a place to stay and hang your hat for a few hours until the next chaotic day. Nice staff.
