“A true hidden treasure!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2011

We were not sure what to expect due to the limited photos on the web. When you arrive you'll notice it has a real polynesian feel at first. Once you enter your villa. "We rented a 2 bedroom" we were completely blown away. It is beautiful. The bedrooms the living room and especially the kitchen and dineing room. We thought they gave us a model for viewing in era. The grounds are well kept. They have grills throughout the property. Tennis, small basketball court, kid playground and so much more. Very family oriented. No tiki bar here. So if your looking for a place to relax and take in the sites. This is it. The pools are well maintained. Everything here was perfect. They should get a higher star rateing. reasonably priced. I hope my photos help.

Stayed here for 6 days. On check-in there was a problem with our booking, the travel agent had spelt my name wrong. The receptionist found the booking and changed the details quickly with little fuss.

After check-in we were sent over to a separate desk where a quite friendly man tried to get us to come to a free breakfast where he would give us $100 for nothing, or a free holiday worth $700. It was obviously a timeshare/holiday club selling event, but he wouldn't admit to this. This is the only negative I have about the hotel, they rang us in our room a few days later trying again.

The villa's are spacious and clean. Ours was a one bedroom but the lounge was still big enough for a family. It also still had two full bathrooms. The full kitchen had a stove, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer with ice maker. There was also a washer/dryer and dishwasher. A small amount of washing powder and dishwasher detergent was provided. There was a safe which you'll need to collect the key from reception. I can't fault the villa in any way, spotless and everything working. TV and DVD were also provided. There was a balcony with sun beds and chairs protected by a insect/sun screen. Free wireless internet worked well.

The complex had 2 swimming pools and at least 3 spas, the pools were well maintained and of a good size. There was also a couple of lakes with water features. The property is protected by security at the main entrance.

Good location for eating out and getting to Disney, slightly further for Universal but still only 15- 20 minutes away. The road it's on is very quiet and has a Walmart about 3/4 of a mile away.

Would definitely come back here, the value is great. Just avoid the timeshare/vacation club guys in the lobby.

Room Tip: Buildings 1 -6 are quieter than the others. (2 story vs 3 )

The hotel itself was very nice, rooms spacious, nice grounds. The pools rather small but fine. Customer service non existent, very pushy and unfriendly sales staff pushing to set up a condo sale session during your stay.
The worst part was trying to get some help after our son left a camera charger in the room. Phoned 3 times, never got a helpful answer and no one called back as promised. Finally, called the 4th time once got back home and was told that nothing was found in the room even though our son realized that he left the camera charger and battery in the power outlet 2 hours after we left the hotel and I called immediately. After days of waiting and calling, we received a dishonest answer and no apology or any helpful suggestion was offered. So much for honesty and courtesy.
Overall, would not stay there because of complete lack of customer care and service.

A lovely resort. Appartments are well equipped and decorated. The master bedroom has a huge en-suite bathroom with whirlpool bath and separate shower. Pool is the warmest I have ever used and was never crowded. Nice sunbeds, available in the shade if required. Security on the gate which was welcomed. A great resort!

I visited the Polynesian with my wife, daughter, and my daughter’s friend (both 13yrs old). We paid right at 100$ a night for our five day four night stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and it was really nice, clean, and very comfortable. This place had all the comforts of home and then some. Washer, dryer, frig with ice maker, all the cooking utensils you will need, and plenty of room to enjoy and relax. The guess room had two twin beds, a private balcony, and a large bathroom (that also had a door leading to the common area) with a shower/bath combo. The master had a very large balcony (large enough for two recliners plus a table with chares) with a great view of one of the pools. The master bath was enormous and consisted of a private toilet with door, whirlpool bath, a two sink vanity, and a large stand up shower. The unit had nice décor although the TVs are very outdated… but who comes on vacation to watch TV. The staff members (from the security guards to the front desk) were friendly and very helpful to any question or request that we had. We did however get the dreaded sales call the first morning of our stay, and although the lady was noticeably disappointed that we were not interested in timeshare… there was no pressure and the call ended politely which is not usually the case with these timeshare sales pitches. They supply you with plenty of bath towels and separate pool towels, and give you a complementary pack of soap powder. So about mid week we washed the used towels and it never was a problem. Another plus is that you are literally 2 minutes away from a 24 hour Wal-Mart and within 15 minute or less from almost anything else you would need (shopping, restaurants, amusement and water parks). We stayed gone most of the time during the day visiting beaches and the Florida attractions; so many times we couldn’t wait to get back to the room to relax in the evenings. The grounds were very quiet at night and we didn’t even know that there were people in the surrounding units. After the late nights sipping chilled wine on the balcony overlooking the pool while smoking my favorite cigar to end each day… I DIDN”T WANT TO LEAVE.

Just a note: A friend of mine and his family were also in Florida at the same time we were but stayed at a different timeshare resort that he was a member of. His resort was MUCH bigger and had many more things to do on the grounds of the resort (paddle boats, movie theater, tennis courts, a restaurant, etc…). But even he agreed that the amenities weren’t nearly as nice as the Polynesian (the room, the pool, being able to get from the front gate to your room without getting in a traffic jam, etc…) They push the tours hard at his resort so you get every walk of life there… and lets just face it… everybody just don’t know how to act in public. And that statement has no bearing on race or ethnicity… it called simple home training and being courteous to those around you!!! Every inch of his resort was VERY crowded especially the pools… all 13 of them. And it was wide open all night long… so I could just imagine the noise at night. I’m just sayin…

"Diamond or SPN" thats the question. Polynesian Isles seems to be managed by SPN and the grounds and reception are owned by ? Diamond.....confusing. Grounds lovely however in the two weeks that we stayed I cant recall the pool being cleaned and I was awake for 7am each morning. Rooms very dull and drab and at times damp. They have everything you need however dont expect a change of bedding or towels every other day as that doesnt happen. We got a change of linen after our 8th day. On arrival I removed a soiled quilt and placed in the wardrobe and when the beds were changed the soiled quilt was put back on! The apartment has to be left the way you found it, dishwasher has to be left on, air con set on leaving at a certain temp and beds not to be stripped just pulled back......i do hope they beds get changed. Apartments in need of a revamp in comparison to others I have stayed and wont be rushing back to this one. This is our third visit to Orlando and loved it just as much as the first time. Would recommend Cracker Barrell in Kisimmee and Chillis. Bahama Breeze also great however be aware of the 18% tip automatically included in the bill for parties over 6 and that was for cold food! Please visit Celebration which is a lovely town but dont eat at Shannons, very basis. If you golf visit LBV, Osprey Ridge, Mariott Grand Pines all very good. If a lover of shopping visit Prime Outlet top of International Drive (Ugg shop) great prices.

We were moved here after a bad experience at Cypresse Pointe; what a contrast! From the moment we arrived at reception until we checked out, we were made to feel so welcome, mega praise to the staff here. Our request for a top floor room was granted, although there are no elevators we had lots of help with our luggage. The 2 bed apartment is spacious, very clean and comfortable, with free wifi. A big screened balcony with fan helped us enjoy the lovely view of the lake, fountain and grounds (complete with ducks and squirrels). Those ground staff never stop working! The bed was very comfy, top quality linens etc. Kitchen is well equipped, and a washer & dryer were in a key carded closet just outside our front door. The pools were very clean and well maintained, and we kept coming across hot tubs hidden in the greenery around the resort, lovely. It was so peaceful we didn't feel as though we were just yards away from H192, and all the parks etc. are close. There's a 24 hour Walmart minutes away in the other direction, very handy. Loved this place!
