“Will stay nowhere else.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2010

I live fairly close to the Orlando area. We have stayed in several other motels in the area. Since we discovered this hotel we will stay nowhere else. The housekeepers do clean everyday, contrary to other reviews, unless you wish not to be disturbed. The staff is very friendly and accomondating, contrary to other reviews. The staff in the cafe treat us like family. They know the names of our grandchildren and great grandchildren. We have never gotten hugs anywhere else, we do here. I have recommended this hotel to other family members and they have returned for other visits. No adverse odors, no bugs were seen, clean rooms. Nice hotel, nice price, great staff.

hotel was clean and staff was helpful. Shuttle times were clearly posted. They even added additional shuttle times b/c of the time of the year (new years) to accomodate the guests. Food Court in the hotel is a huge help. We were able to buy things such as snacks and quick breakfasts before heading to the parks. One review of this hotel said that they "cater to seniors". We were there the week between Xmas and New Years and there was nothing but familes there. We were inthe parks all day so we really did not take advantage of other hotel offers (free kids movies each night, arcade, etc.) but it was a nice place to rest your head after a long day at the parks. Great family-friendly hotel. Great value! Would most definately stay there again!

This is a great hotel for families. Yes, it is a motel, but the room was very clean and you probably won't be spending much time in there. But, there are many pros that have us going back.
1. Great pools - the pools are huge and they also have a kiddie pool
2. The have new, very nice playground set by one of the pools - my daughter loved it!
3. It is super close to disney world - it was only a few miles away and was very easy to get onto the road to disney
4. The street it is on has a ton of restaurants and fast food places
5. The staff was very friendly
6. You can't beat the price - on our next visit we are getting a 2 room suite for $64/night and it has a small kitchen area, which is needed when traveling with small children

I realize you get what you pay for, but I must say, I do not feel that $65+ per night is cheap, and it should not buy you a substandard stay, but here it does. The beds were extremely uncomfortable with springs all over. We might as well slept on two pieces of plywood as we woke up with sore ribs, shoulders and hips. The room itself is in need of serious updating. There was a hole in the wall that I put a shoe over because I was afraid of what might come thru for a visit in the middle of the night. The room has a microwave, but if you use it, it will automatically shut off the tv. They cannot run at the same time, too much electricity being used I guess. I called the front desk to ask for an extra pillow and was told they ran out.
The breakfast "buffet" that you pay for in advance when booking was horrible. Everything is generic with pre-packaged muffins/mini bagels, and I don't know how you make eggs taste bad, but they manage to. They also had churros on the buffet, but they could be used as hockey sticks. A table next to us complained about how stale they were & the waitress said they're always like that because the steam from the buffet makes them rock hard.
We were spending all day and night at the theme parks, so we weren't in search of a really fancy place with a ton of bells and whistles. All we really wanted was a comfortable bed to sleep in after 10 hours at the parks, and a good breakfast in the morning to start our day. We did not get either. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $15 a night and stay somewhere else.

Love Old Town but keep searching for a different hotel! This is not the one!!!

The front desk person "Rosie" was the most unprofessional persion I have had the "pleasure" of speaking to in my travels. Very confrontational and lacks anything close to an ounce of skill in customer service.

The hotel room had an odor. The carpets were filthy. The shower had a stream of water that constantly ran. The furniture was so old it felt dirty to sit on.

There are much better places to stay around Old Town for the money.

The great thing about this hotel is the location. The bad things about this hotel are:
1) Its a motel, not a hotel or resort. If I had known that we wouldn't have even stayed. Its a huge hotel and lots of different kinds of people stay here. We came back to our room because someone forgot their ticket to Disney only to find someone looking into the window of our room (curtains were closed).
2) No (I repeat and emphasize) water pressure in the shower in the morning. None. Zero. Seriously. The last morning we were there I actually had to get on all fours and wash my hair under the faucet.
3) The breakfast buffet leaves A LOT to be desired. Like food. Its seriously a joke and an expensive one. Kids eat free and so should the adults. If it was a free breakfast buffet, I wouldn't complain but it isn't. The donuts and danishes were old and there were just eggs, bacon and sausage on the buffet. And, that's about it.
4) This hotel hasn't been upgraded since it was taken over when it used to be a Holiday Inn. The carpet was old and rolled like it had been wet. The furniture was old. Some lights worked and some didn't at all.
5) The internet service didn't work.
Now for the good stuff. The location is excellent and the price is dirt cheap. The remote didn't work so we called the front desk and someone was at the room within minutes. If someone wanted to invest a couple of million into upgrades this hotel would be a phenomenal choice. The staff was always friendly and helpful too.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. They make false advertisements. I came with a coupon that I got from a magazine and they wouldn't accept it even if its still valid. The lady in the front desk area treated me so bad. Its certainly not a customer's fault for having a coupon. If they dont accept it, then they should better not advertise it. And they should treat their customers with RESPECT.

There is never an excuse for rude service or disrespect to a guest, therefore our sincere apologies to this guest and I wish the guest would have talked to me immediately. Our coupon though states very clearly that we will acccept based on availibility, which means that when we allowed a certain amount of coupons and they have been used, we will close out the availibilty, as all hotels and airlines do. I can assure the guest that these highly discounted hotel rates are available most of the times.
