The room is overall clean. There are a few positives and negatives about this hotel. We came on Sunday morning and asked for early check-in. However, we were told the hotel was fully booked and we could not get in. I thought that was fine, because the check in was 3 pm and I did not expect to get in early.

If you want to solely depend on hotel shuttle to go to Disney, Seaworld and/or Universal Studio, check out my comment below.

Positives:
-Clean room
-There is a Walgreen within 3 minutes walk.
-Wendy's and Burger King are next to the hotel. Taco Bell and Red Lobster are across the street. A few minutes walk will take you to a Denny's, Sizzler's, a supermarket, Chinese restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant.

We ate at Giordano's, an Italian restaurant. The pizza was great. We also ordered Chinese food delivery from Full House (the menu and phone # are located in the hotel guest directory in each room). The Chinese food were good, too.

Negatives:
-Shuttle departs to Seaworld and Universal early morning at 7:45 AM. Picks up guests from Universal at 6:40 PM and Seaworld 6:55 PM. You must wake up early. If you don't like to wake up early during your vacation, check out bus line 56 to Disney and transfer to line 50 to Seaworld. check ---
-To Animal Kingdom at 9:15 AM and picks up at 5:45 PM. Even though it normally closes at 5 PM. So, you must spend 45 minutes in gift shops or waiting. Inconvenient.
-To Magic Kingdom at 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, pick ups at 5:20 PM, and 10:15 PM. It normally closes at 7 or 8 PM. Either you go home early, or you transfer to another park to go home. Inconvenient.
-To MGM at 10:45 AM, pick up at 8 PM.
-To Epcot at 10:45 AM, pick up at 5:30 and 8:15 PM.
-The shuttle was late 30 minutes once.
-I called front desk to ask about a loud machine used by some workers in front of my room at 9 AM. Good thing I was already awake.

I asked, "How long can I expect them to work in front of my room?" I was answered, "Why don't you step out and ask them?"

Bad customer service. I had to talk to the manager to get an answer.

“Not a good value”

Best Western Lakeside

Looking for budget accommodations near Disney, this hotel was generally comfortable and clean. But our earlier good impressions faded into unhappiness as we had to contend with:
a - a front desk that seemed clueless about transferring our call to the pizza restaurant located in the lobby
b - thin walls that easily transmitted all the surrounding noise making a decent night's sleep impossible
c - No hot water in the morning.

“A hop, skip and a jump from Disney...Hotel room condition could have been better”

Best Western Lakeside

We stayed at the Best Western Lakeside in Kissimmee, Florida.
The entrance to the hotel and lobby was inviting and tropical. The check in went quickly and smoothly. We upgraded to a different room that we wanted initially but that wasn't available when we made our reservation, with ease. The overall appreance of the outside of the hotel was pretty good. They have more the one pool, I think three. We stayed in a pool view room and I would advise that if you are planning on catching up on your sleep and not getting up early, then you won't want a pool view room. It's very noisy, early. The room appeared to have been cleaned and the towels were stocked. What I didn't like and felt should have been fixed before our stay was a gash in the wall near the floor by the TV. Also, as we were preparing for bed, we noticed a big gash/almost hole in the wall behind our bed and the area behind the bed didn't look like it had been cleaned. I worried about bugs with this opening behind the bed. The bed seemed to be clean and didn't smell. What I didn't like though was that they used a flat sheet as a bottom sheet which moved and bunched up as we slept, uncovering the matteress below. The air conditioning had a funny smell initially and I wondered about this, maybe it is common but it seemed to go away. The fridge in the room was barley cool, although we didn't ask the front desk about this, maybe there was a way to turn it up. We liked the safe in the room it was easy to use. The Pizza Hut express that they offer on site is rediculiously priced. Twenty dollars for a medium pizza! Their breakfast buffet is cheap, but you get what you pay for sometimes because it tasted cheap as well. The eggs looked slimey and the sausage tasted generic and the bacon was clumped together in a bin. It was warm in the resturant to, even the employees were fanning themselves with the menues. I asked 2 employees about a waterfall rock garden that was advertised on the Best Western website while we were in the breakfast buffet resturant and neither knew were it was. In my opinion the Dennys down the street would have been a better breakfast choice. The location of this hotel is really great though. There's a Walgreens practically in the same parking lot and plenty of fast food resturants and a Kmart just down the street. Getting to Disney is a snap and close by. One more thing I would say about the hotel is there was no elevator, at least we couldn't find one. So we were on the second floor and had to hike up a small stepped stair case to get our luggage to our room. Overall I would give this hotel 3 stars based on everything explained here.

Having stayed in many US hotel rooms the lakeside is your run of the mill US hotel room.No the lakeside is not a resort but the pools were clean and warm, the rooms clean a bright and for the rates available on the net it is a bargain. We got 4 nights with 2 buffet breakfasts for 2adults for £120 ! If it is a clean safe place to lay your head after a long day in the parks this is it, why go anywhere else?.
