We just came back from a family vacation/family reunion. My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Star Island Resort. We had a two bedroom deluxe unit that was HUGE!! The master bedroom had an in-room Jacuzzi and a huge stand-up shower. This unit can sleep 10 people comfortably. We were not too thrilled about the tropical color scheme. The only problem we saw is that none of the units in our building had washer and dryer. However there was a free laundry facility on the first floor that had several machines to use. So some buildings are different that others. I'm not sure how hold the building was but the outside area in the hallways were dirty at the entrance and could use a facelift/paint job. The pool area was a lot of fun. After reading some of the reviews we thought that it was going to be extra crowded with tourist from timeshare but it was pretty calm. They even have a nice lake where you can rent Jet Ski, paddle boats, etc. I would recommend this resort to all families. Ms. Ebony in Reservations was very courteous and helpful along with CRS representative Rochell Koren.

Bought A package off Ebay (bigdogvacations) $199 plus tax =$260 or so for a 8 day 7 night one bedroom condo.This procedure was a little nerve racking but ended up being a great experience.The room was great,a liitle dated but who really cares if the bed is green and gold.As long as its clean.Big Jacuzzi in room,separate stand up shower,deck,full kitchen,full size refrigirator,dining table area,washer-dryer,sofa bed for two kids ages 8 and 10.You must pay for daily room service cleaning I think. My wife does not like anyone in her room anyway so we straightened up our own mess.After a couple of days it almost seems like a little home because of the huge size of rooms and all the amenities in the room.Nice pools,security gate up front,.Went on a 90 minute tour for the deal.Got there on Sunday,went on tour monday morning.We were not going to any parks monday anyway.No pressure, kids sat on the back of the golf cart riding around the place.Then we told them no thanks.Not difficult. Would recommend this place to anyone but you must take the 90 minute tour to get the great deal.I mean $250 Total for a 8 day 7 night family vacation in florida.Whats there to complain about.

Our trip was so short and spent very little time at the resort. We spent most of our time at Seaworld. Would of loved to of enjoyed the resort if we had more time to do so. Although the room was nice not a very nice view we had a window facing the parking lot where the employees have there carts and a garbage dumpster. Lots of early morning noise with garbage truck etc. The room was nice and clean housekeeping very friendly and the midnight front desk clerk was also very nice. The pool looked very nice would of loved to of enjoyed it if we had more time.

We travel to Florida every year and this year was the best place we ever stayed in we became owners. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing. The pool is beyond wonderful. The kids did not want to leave. They have wonderful activities for kids and adults. Clean rooms, great landscaping.
The theme parks are close by. You really don't have to go anywhere, staying in the resort is a wonderful experience in it's self.
My family and I enjoyed it! We look forward to more visits.
One comment on other reviews, just cause one person has a bad experience because of a money issue doesn't mean it's a bad place. Some people will try to get over on rules and regulations so when booking certain trips read the fine print. Cause Star Island Resort is a great place to stay. I recommened it to everyone!
