I have just returned from a stay at the Radisson Hotel Celebration with my family and I must say I was very pleased with the whole thing. Sometime after we booked (with Virgin) one of our party decided to read some of the reviews on Tripadvisor and to our horror the majority of them were very poor with lots of negative statements. After reading these were very tempted to change our booking to another hotel, well I am glad that we didn’t. From the check in to the check out I was very pleased with the whole experience. We were in Orlando for two weeks over what was probably the busiest time of the year being Easter and Spring break in the US and the Hotel was very busy. Even though it was busy the staff was very helpful and we never had any issues with using the facilities. The check in took a matter of minutes and when we opened the doors of the rooms we were presented with a clean comfortable room with everything you could expect, I do agree however with one of the Tripadvisor reviews that the bathroom is a touch on the small side but if that’s the worst thing in a holiday experience then life is good. We had a nice view onto one of the lakes and fountains and the room was very clean. We had only one problem in the entire stay when the toilet became blocked (I blame the large Florida meals), I phoned guest services and literally within minutes the maintenance lady was knocking on the door and solved the problem with the whole thing from call to completion taking less than ten minutes (honestly). The pools were excellent with a small heated pool and a large unheated pool that was superb for cooling down and relaxing in the hot sunshine, there was also a good sized children’s pool and two red hot spa pools. To further show the friendliness of the resort, the staff take a projector down to the heated pool at night and play movies on a large screen so you can swim and watch a film while enjoying a drink from the pool bar (called dive in movies). We used the Deli bar on several occasions and the pizzas, burgers and chicken were all good and fairly priced and the staff were very friendly with the manager (I assume) being very and chatty. The hotel has a wide variety of facilities including a decent shop, ticket and attraction agents, and business suite including use of the internet. We never went into Mandolins restaurant so I could not comment, however it looked quite nice. All things considered the hotel was excellent and combined with its superb location I have to say that the Radisson was an excellent experience for our family. I have been to Orlando several times and must say the Radisson is a good choice.

“You get what you pay for- Maybe”

I stayed here for one night during a convention where the main hotel was sold out for the night. Upon arrival I was told that I would have to wait for about 2 1/2 hours before my "assigned" room was ready. When I told the clerk that I really needed to get into a room and then back to the convention I got a shrug of the shoulders. When I told her that it woul dnot work, another shrug of the shoulders.

After having to hustle this hotel up due to no openings at the main hotel I was not thrilled about going and trying to find another hotel ,even with the lousy attitude of the desk clerk. \\

I then chatted with a supervisor that said "no problem we can assign you another room". Then she gives me the old $11 resort fee scam. Why cannot a hotel simply raise their rate if they need to rather than play this slimy game. Knowing that most people (including myself at this point ) are to tired to go elsewhere they manage to extract a few more bucks from you. Multiply that times a few hundred rooms every night and they get a nice margin for giving you nothing that a "resort" should anyway. You get to use the pool, free internet access (in the lobby) .. whats is next $2 for a towel?

Arriving at my room , the door have a nice collection of chips, dings, and small divots all over it. They were quite artfully covered up with a childlike smear of plastic wood in a lovely contrasting color to the the simulated walnut of the door. A strinking first impression if ever.

Inside the room, worn furniture ,an AC unit that thumped like a studebaker, and a shower curtain with nicely scattered dark spots greeted me.

All in all probably what you get for about a $100 per night in Orlando. My advice would be if you had to stay here you will survive but certainly not go home and tell all they must visit here.
I fyou have the means, spend some more and upgrade to another place. I cash is tight, try the motel six down the road.

Oh almost forgot about the beds. The heavily advertised sleep number beds are additional cost and not available always. The beds in my room should be called plankmatics.

Enough said

Grounds were well manicured and beautiful. The kids loved to feed the
ducks and turtles in the pond. Pools and hot tubs very nice-they really need to heat the big pool though-it is freezing! Room is adequate. Very close to Magic Kingdom-no traffic and took about 10 minutes to drive from hotel. Good restaurants nearby. Not planning to
visit Disney again for a very long time (at least not at spring break!) but if I did would definitely stay here again. Great place to
stay if you're not going to the parks too!

I stupidly booked this hotel again, after staying there 3 years ago! While it's a good price for the location and amenities, there are major problems with reservations/billing! The first time we stayed there, they ran out of non-smoking rooms, and had to give us a smoking room. It smelled awful and my husband has allergies! At least back then, they comped us that one night, and put us into non-smoking the next night. This last stay, however, we were arriving late into Orlando, so I called ahead to confirm that they had our room and weren't going to give it away. We arrived around close to midnight, and guess what? They'd given our room away!! With a tired and grumpy 5 year old child wanting to just go to bed, the Radisson staff told us they had booked us at the Rosen Shingle Creek, 7 miles away! But that they would comp us that night. So we stayed at the Rosen, who said they needed our credit card just to have on file and that the Radisson would pay. Well, we checked our credit card statement and sure enough, we'd been charged $186 for staying at the Rosen. We went back to the Radisson the next night to continue our booked stay, and reminded them to pay for the Rosen. They acted like they knew nothing, and it took much aggravation to get the point across of their mistakes. They were very uncaring and unprofessional. They gave us a letter saying they were responsible for the charges at the Rosen, but we still have not gotten a credit to our account and I'm still working on getting our money back. We should not be responsible for having all this aggravation over their mistakes. But I feel like it will be like pulling teeth over the next few weeks trying to get this resolved. So I guess my point is, if you plan on arriving late to this hotel, just know that your room may be given away, and just say NO to any other hotel they want to send you to! I would have rather just gone to the Quality Inn which was advertising vacancy, instead of being sent to a 5 star, overpriced hotel, which the Rosen Shingle is, and then getting totally cheated out of money I could have spent somewhere else. The front desk staff at the Radisson are very unprofessional, so just be prepared to deal with that if any problems come up. We will NEVER stay there again. I would recommend staying at Lowes hotel near Universal, as they are professional and accomodating. If we ever return to Orlando, that's where we'll be staying.

I arrived in the morning on a red-eye flight from LA. The staff was very friendly and accomodating and made every attempt to get me into my room as soon as possible. The pool was great, just know that there
is entertainment at the pool so it's not always a serene with Bingo numbers being called. The room was clean, nothing too exciting to report. Walking distance to restaurants and gift shops. No shuttle from the airport but I was able to book with Mears for a round trip total of $31 (less than one-way cab fare). Overall great experience.
