We stayed 5 nights while visiting Disney World and surrounding area. We got a 2-room suite for the 6 of us (4 kids). Very clean, good pool, and convenient location. Free drinks by the pool every supper hour.

The breakfast was the biggest and best selection I've ever had for free at a hotel. However, it was very crowded. We seldom could get a table and had to eat by the pool or in our room.

Front desk staff were not great. Seemed inconvenienced when they had to deal with a guest. Wireless internet was awful -- only worked about half the time we were there. When I complained the first time, the "expert" at the desk kept telling me to delete my cookies and turn off my firewall (which I knew would accomplish nothing) and after 10 minutes admitted the internet in the lobby was down too and he would call "their guy" to fix it. Never heard back that night, and never bothered calling about it again. Definitely not a place to stay if you're on business.

Because it's cheap, different crowds come and go. Our first day the pool was taken over by college students, who didn't really make room for the kids. The second day busloads of jr high students invaded, running down the hallways and screaming with no adult leaders in sight. Complained to the front desk and they quieted down quickly. And by the 3rd day, the pool was full of families with kids. Sort of have to take your chances.

So if you want a good sized room at a good price, and can put up with the inconveniences above, it's alright.

“Great for Families. We loved it.”

We were a little wary about staying here after reading some negative reviews, so I called the manager and talked to her. She immediately upgraded us to a deluxe suite, and talked us out of staying near the pool. That was good advice. People (mostly kids) are in the pool until 11pm and it's loud.

We loved our suite here. We had a 2 BR suite with a kitchen and living room. It seemed palatial to us. We also had 2 baths which was great. The room was clean and well appointed. The maid service was great. Each day someone came in and straightened up and gave us clean towels. It was totally different from the negative reveiws earlier. I was thrilled with the accommodations.

Don't believe the reviews you read about the breakfast. We thought it was great and quite hearty. It's not necessarily for those looking for a low-carb breakfast but there's plenty of healthy items like yogurt, fruit and juice. We thought it was great.

The Manager's Reception is a treat too. The pool is great and the hotel facilities and staff are all friendly.

Overall, I wholeheatedly recommend the Quality Inn Maingate East.

Basically fine, no problems, but nothing to write home about. Major plus: the suites. If you are going with kids, it's great -- one kingsize double for Mum and Dad and one separate room for the kids. Two TVs (but one is in Mum and Dad's room! What?! Give it to the kids), two bathrooms, mini-kitchen, plenty of room, good maid service. The downside is that the hotel is trying too hard to be a three or four star when it is not. All rooms are accessed from the cement outsides, accessed by dirty lifts and back stairs, so it has a bit of a motel / Butlins feel to it. It looks great when you first arrive -- nice pool, palm trees and the like, but it feels a bit more steggy when you have been there a few days. When we went, it was packed and everyone is shoe-horned in. The breakfast is not a happy experience. You can't get a table, and it's pretty low quality; my kids just didn't want to have the breakfast at all and were thrilled when we decided to miss it on the last day and go to a proper hotel for breakfast. No major complaints -- this is a perfectly OK hotel and yo are paying for the pleasure of having the suite. But there is no question that you can get far better hotels, if you don't want the suite, for cheaper inside Walt Disney World. Oh, Happy Hour is quite good (free beer), but who is going to be there at 5pm each day? After the first day, we were in the parks every day. Go here if you want the suites; don't bother if not -- you can do much better.

    • Liked — Separate rooms for kids (two double beds for them) and for Mum and Dad (kingsize)
    • Disliked — The price -- much too much for the quality. It feels like a budge hotel, but not at budget prices.

I am a frequent guest of Quality Suites and reading these reviews has me totally shocked. This is one othe BEST hotels for value, cleanliness and accessibility to the parks. Management is wonderful, the staff members (all of them) are courteous and helpful. We experienced only one minor problem during one of our stays and management did what they say they will and offered us a free night on our return visit. Anyone who writes negative comments about management or the property is totally off base. This is a wonderfully
comfortable and clean hotel and there is nothing negative about it. We visit from Miami every other weekend in the summer and once a month during the winter and we would never stay anywhere else. I have referred everyone I know to the Quality Suites when visiting the Disney area and never heard a bad review from any of them. Trust me, Quality Suites is a great place to stay.

“The Suite Life”

Royale Parc Suites - a Quality Suites Hotel

Was a little concerned when I saw some of the reviews, but, everything was really fine at this hotel. For $116 I got a two bedroom two bath suite. Unit had a small kitchen and was very clean, everything was in good shape.

Stayed in Room 116, while the room doors face an outdoor corirdor all the doors are enclosed by the courtyard, so really, not a big security issue. Room 116 was just outside of the pool area, was a little loud from 9-11 PM as folks got back from Disney, but, by 11 all was quiet.

Parking was ample and free. Snack machines on site and a 7-11 store just next door. Free Cont. Brearfast was very very average, but mind you the key word is free.

Best of all is the location. This place is as close as you can get and be off the Disney property.

Great hotel if you need space to stretch out, have a big number of bodies that need beds and if you want to be close to WDW.

We will return here.
