“Good place when visiting theme parks, but”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

we arrived at 3am and the lobby was closed, but after a brief panic we saw there was a telephone outside the closed lobby door to contact an employee for check in.

The appartment was a good size but really dark.
It could use a more modern touch.
The sleeper sofa was to our surprise quite comfortable.

The chairs are really loud when you sit on them, the first time the fart sound is funny,
but afterwards its just plain annoying.

The thing that bothered us the most was the cleanliness overall
We found hair in all possible locations.
Wifi was free to our relief.

would I stay here again? Hmmm, I think I would look for other locations first.

Room Tip: all the rooms are the same poolside rooms have pool music the whole time

We stayed at this resort for 5 nights, and had a fantastic time. Loved the safari theme! At check in we were greeted with drinks and warm chocolate chip cookies. The condo was perfect, very clean and spacious. Master bedroom was fabulous with a HUGE master bath. Glass shower and jacuzzi tub, kids loved it! The kids had their own bedroom with two twin beds and their own bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, with soft sheets and down comforters. Loved having a washer and dryer in the unit, and the kitchen was fully stocked (only thing we needed was laundry detergent). The pool was like a little oasis, water was very warm and relaxing. There is also a boardwalked nature trail that carries on the safari theme, bongo music playing, so neat. Kids loved finding all the little lizards along the way. Short trip to Disney world, 5-10 minutes. So glad we stayed here in our little "home away from home" instead of on Disney property. Unbelievable value and we were never approached for a timeshare. Fabulous staff, Fabulous resort....we can't wait to stay again!!

I stayed at this resort 6 nights. The resort was hard to find and when we called for assistance, the security guard hung up on us. it was very late when we arrived and he was upset that we had called. The resort is just ok....we found a worlds largest cockroach in the unit and contacted the front desk to advise of same. she said they are common (excuse me?)..they are not common in my opinion as I have stayed in several rentals in FL and never saw one. Luckily it was our last night there and we stayed up all night because of the unwanted creature...The pool area is nice and relaxing. The bar is far too expensive and you cannot bring your own drinks to the pool. I think I will stay somewhere else in the future. I travel to FL 2 to 3 times a year. I chose this place because I was traveling with my granddaughters and wanted to stay where there may be other children versus a home that may have been in an isolated area.

We stayed a week from June 7-14. My husband is handicapped and uses an electric scooter. Ralphy, at the front desk, worked wonders to see that our needs were met with a ground floor room even thought we arrived early. Loved our stay, although it would be nice if there was a place for breakfast on site.

Room Tip: Nairobi rooms have a backdoor that opens by the pool area.

Fantastic Resort! Remodeled since our last visit. Terrific staff; professional; friendly; and very accommodating.

Resort is beautiful; many updates; pool area is a small oasis.

Stayed in Room - C306 Nairobi - beautiful unit with great location near pool.
Great screened balcony. Good size also.

Main "master" room is huge. Bed is super King Size and comfortable. Lots of storage. Bathtub and shower in suite.
2nd room has 2 twin beds with storage and the full bathroom in small hallway.
Staff - All great - Ralphy went over and beyond on a terribly rainy day and gave us plastic bags; towels; to cover my Mom while getting to our Villa since we didn't have an umbrella available. She still got wet - though - Hahaha :) Just too much rain!

Nice small area with computers to print out directions; boarding passes; etc.... - no charge.

Location - right on US192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway) so close to everything! Old Town; Disney; etc...
Walmart; K-Mart; Publix (supermarket); flea market; all within a few miles drive on same US192 - just turn left.

Overall this is an awesome resort not only due to it's location; but to the great staff. Will definitely return on any future trips to Orlando.

Room Tip: The room we were given was awesome. There are no elevators but you only need to take luggage up once...

Wonderful accommodations and grounds. We would certainly stay there again. The place is spotless and staff is very helpful and friendly and it's close to all the theme parks.Word of caution: if you are invited to attend a presentation about Vacation Village Voyage, I suggest you do an internet search on the company before making a financial commitment.

Stayed 7 nights at this African-themed resort. Requested a ground floor unit in advance and received a first-floor condo next to the tennis court. The Parkway Pavilion Shopping Center was in close proximity so we had easy access to a variety of eating places--Little Italy, Kobe Japanese Steak House and Little China Restaurant. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Judy, in guest services, was an excellent resource for Lynx bus and Sunlink train transportation. The only shortfalls were the uneven decking with loose boards on the walkway and the absence of shuttle service (except to a factory outlet).

Room Tip: Condos close to the tennis court are close to the Parkway Pavilion Shopping Center.
