“Great family-friendly condo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

The condo is spacious and clean. The kitchen fully equipped and has good storage if you plan on cooking some meals. There are a few gas grills by the pool, which we took advantage of one evening. The pool and hot tub are great after a long day at the parks. You can beat the convenience of the washer and dryer in the unit. The timeshare squeeze is minimal. Sign up for a time and then bail out. I was never bothered during my stay by phone calls. The location is convenient to Publix grocery store (great alternative to crazy Walmart), as well as restaurants and the parks. Also, the complex is very quiet safe.

Room Tip: The 3rd floor was great-no noise.

We book this as a package for a week in Florida with our family. The unit that we had was large, modern and clean. We were on the third (top floor) and were blown away by the massive rooms and high ceilings. The main bedroom had a large jacuzzi tub and separate shower, the second bedroom had a complete tub and shower as well. Our room had a washer and dryer, full kitchen and massive living room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early. The only annoying part was the time share pitch. They make you go to the salesperson to get your parking pass and they give you all sorts of coupons for local events and try to make a reservation for the free breakfast. I told her that we were not interested and not to bother pitching us. The woman was friendly and that was that. The part that killed me was that they put flyers in our door to remind us that our last chance was coming up (which I ignored) AND they called me at 9:00 in the morning and woke our family up to pitch their time share AGAIN! I understand persistance in sales but it really put a black eye on an overall excellent experience. i would have given a five star rating if it wasn't for the phone call.

The pool area was clean and well maintained. The entertainment was good but kind of too early in the day. If you just wanted to read by the pool it was kind of loud. The woman that organized it was talented and friendly. The Kenya Cafe' was also good, my son ordered a meatball sub and said it was great. The frozen drinks were great and the young man working the bar was friendly and helpful.

We might be back but next time I will be firm with telling them not to call the room!

Room Tip: Go for the third floor. Higher ceilings, no noise above you and overall larger rooms.

My family stayed at Parkway from December 21-26, 2012. We exchanged our week in July for this week over Christmas. We have been owners since 1990 and love it!

The resort itself was recently painted to match the rustic safari look and the units themselves were updated. We stayed in Building G, which is the farthest from the pool and lobby. It is near the tennis courts. It wasn't a big deal. If you go out the other door, you go right on the nature walk and before you know it you are at the pool.

I love how it is so close to everything--the parks, shops, restaurants, and Celebration. Cannot beat it. I really do not know why people want to stay in the parks to begin with. It is so overrated! It is nice to have two bedrooms/bathrooms, along with a living room, dining room, full kitchen, and laundry facilities in the unit itself. There is Wi-Fi. I do not know what the fee is since we did not have to pay (since we are owners)

There are free breakfast snacks (Monday - Friday) and free coffee and cookies in the lobby. There was a clerk (I know she was from Pittsburgh originally) that helped me print my boarding passes that worked the front desk. She was very helpful and friendly.

Email me with any questions! Cannot wait to go back.

The outside may look a little kitschy with the safari theme but the rooms are beautiful -
bamboo prints and graceful netting draped from the windows. Screened balcony let you sit outside into the night. The kichen was first rate and roomy. Nice area off from the super busy highways. Wooden walkways throughout the property, the "jungle" and into the adjoining resort makes for a nice stroll.

I agree with the reviewers regarding location for attractions, restaurants, highways and stores. Our condo was very clean, nice furnishings, fantastically comfortable Kings Size bed in the master bedroom. The towels were thick and they provide towels for the pool. I loved having a washer & dryer, 3 TV’s, a screened balcony. This location is perfect for families, the pool and playground are very secure and there are walking paths throughout the complex so the children so not have to walk thru the parking lots to access the pool or playground. All the employees were friendly and very helpful. We traded our time share for at time share at Parkway, than extended our stay. I thought the rates were very reasonable for the amenities. Do beware the time sale pitch. They get you the minute you check in, tired from the long trip, you have to speak with the time share sales rep to get your parking pass. They are very sweet but they do sell you on the free breakfast where you are pitched the time shares. I have to admit that the time share maybe a good deal for some families, and as members of RCI, the Parkway time share owners have a great company to use for trades. I already own 3 weeks at another resort and they just would not take no for an answer. It was exhausting trying to escape without being rude to the sales people. Next time I will skip the free breakfast and discount tickets to the Parks. Aside from that, this is a wonderful vacation facility

Room Tip: Ask for a room by the pool

Spent a week at the Parkway. The condo was nice, clean and very quiet. The condo had a washer and dryer and the balcony was screened in. The pool area was nice with a heated pool, hot tub, patio bar and entertainment. The landscaping around the pool was beautiful and there was even a waterfall. The location was great, near Disney entrance and I- 4 Plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and a super target nearby. Just beware of free breakfast offer unless you want to go to a time share presentation that takes 2-3 hours

Room Tip: We requested third floor condo over looking pool. It was very quiet and the stairs werent bad
