“Great Valentine's Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2010

We spent Valentine's Day weekend at Cypress Cove again this year. The resort is very nice with 2 heated pools and 2 hot tubs. The staff is very friendly and very hard working.
Even though the temperature was only 58 the sun was strong enough for it to be pleasant at the pool. The resort is clothing optional but the pools are" nude use only."
For the holiday there was fabulous buffet dinner and dancing to the music of one of the best Beatles tribute bands. Dancing was a bare as you like and due to the cold weather ranged from fully dressed to totally nude. It was a lot of fun. As always Cypress Cove is a great couples resort and an experience not to be missed

3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2009

My girlfriend and I visited for the weekend of October 2-4, 2009. The facilities are a little old but well maintained. There are three "sections" -- permanent residences (all mobile homes that have been made permanent with underpinnings and garages), a campground, and a resort consisting of four or five buildings. We stayed in the resort.

One big plus is that it is only about 30 minutes from the Orlando airport.

There are some nice recreation facilities. A couple of nice pools, one much larger than the other. The large pool is more crowded and fairly loud. The other pool is smaller but quieter, has a deep end and better for lap swimming. The large lake has free paddleboats. We just untied one and paddled around one morning. Nice tennis courts, surprising large fitness room, and a game room. (My first game of naked ping pong). Can also rent golf carts and bicycles. We rented 2 bicycles and rode throughout the complex. (Wish they had bicycle for two).

Our room was 1162, a Villa Parlor Room in Villa 4. Dated but very clean. (Use the old plastic diamond-shaped door key holders that I haven't seen in years.) Refrigerator and coffee pot but no microwave. Also, there is NO ice machine on the premises. You must buy a big bag of ice from the office store ($1.50) but it will fit in the freezer part of the refrigerator just fine.

Next to our room was a Villa apartment. The two units could be joined via connecting interior doors. Problem was that the doors were not close to being sound resistant. We could hear almost everything being said (or done!) in the apartment next to us. At times, it was almost as if they were in the room with us.

Then there was the "rules" thing. There are members who patrol the resort, enforcing the rules. They reminded me of hall monitors in school. I thought they were a bit over the top. The pool is supposed to be all nude. A girl had got a bit too much sun, so she had a shirt on. One of the "guards" told her she had to be completely nude to be in the pool. What is the point of that rule? My girlfriend and I were hugging a bit in the smaller pool (that was all) and we got fussed at by one of the "guards." Told that this was a "family resort" and that they disapproved of such displays of affection. That was a downer.

All-in-all it was a fun weekend and a nice resort. It was a little too big for our taste (we prefer something a bit more quaint) and then those stupid rules ...

My 16 year old daughter and I spend 3 nights at Cypress Cove the last weekend of June, 2009. We had a wonderful time. The food at both the Riverside Restaurant and Cheeks was delicious and well priced. All of the staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and tropical....just what you'd expect in Florida. The 50 acre lake was fun to canoe and paddleboat around on.
The pool areas and amenities are the heart beat of the place with friendly guests from all over. (There is a nice playground for younger children.)
My teen daughter had a blast and this was her first nude resort experience....she can't wait to go back next June!
I especially love the family friendly atmosphere and true nudist values of Cypress Cove....parents can feel very comforable taking their kids to this wonderful resort!

Activities: Tennis, pickleball, basketball, two swimming pools, hot tubs, fitness center (additional fee) recreation room with pool, ping pong. playground, chip & put mini golf course, RV parking, canoeing, paddleboats, fresh water lake, hotel rooms and suites, tent sites.

Was in Orlando for a week and decided to visit Cypress Cove. They wouldn't let me in - quite frankly couldn't care less but after reading a few reviews seems "they" are "rather selective".
Probably not coming back to Orlando and definatly will not even consider this place as a place "to hang out". I was told that since my wife wasn't with me and I didn't have a towel I couldn't enter. A bit of ego at the front gate.

This is the very best of nudist venues. Facilities are very well kept. AANR standards are taken seriously. Excellent dining at the Lakeside Restaurant or Cheeks Grille. Spa services were utilized with wonderful massage therapists and programs offered. Hair styling also used by both of us and very satisfactory results! Overall this is perhaps the very best nude resort in the USA. Staff are always working to make sure all is done right. Grounds and all recreational facilities are well kept. Office staff is very helpful and informative. Tennis, chip and putt golf, volleyball, basketball, shuffleboard, paddle boats on the lake, pools, hot tubs, bikes, and more. Rules are well posted and enforced. Many activities from active to educational. AANR library on site is very interesting. Don't miss this resort if a Nude vacation is of interest to you. Nothing but the very best! We are repeat visitors and each time it gets even better.

Once you've socialized in the nude, you realize what an enormous impact what we wear has on who we are. Clothing can lock us into expected roles and behaviors, contributing to the tensions of daily life. You may use the lakefront to adjust at your own pace, letting the weather and comfort be your guide. Once you feel ready, take a dip in one of our heated swimming pools which are for our nude guests only. Our culture and values at Cypress Cove are based on very simple principles; we promote family oriented nudism, which should be wholesome and non-sexual. If you choose to visit Cypress Cove, you are accepting these core principles and agreeing to abide by them.We have great fun at our dances, but suggestive attire and/or dancing are not welcome. We appreciate a tender moment between two adults in love, but public displays of affection should be discreet and innocent. Adventures in the bedroom should always be kept private. Discussions of swinging and recruiting are definitely not welcome here. Our goal is to maintain a safe, non-threatening, non-sexual environment where our guests can truly relax and feel comfortable. If you agree, we hope to see you by the pool! ... more   less
