“Very Nice Place To Stay..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

We stayed for 6 nights in a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo. We really liked the location and the condo itself, the only complaint I can think of is THE BED. The mattress is /was not the most comfortable one I've ever slept on..kind of hard and lumpy. All in all we had a pretty nice stay and will return again...hopefully they'll upgrade to better mattresses in the future.

We stayed in building 3 with 3 bedrooms/2 baths. The rooms were very spacious. Very nice for a big family. It was nice to have a washer and dryer in our condo. We did take advantage of the free movie check out but only because the pool closes at dusk. The kids were very disappointed with that. The pool is average size with a small hot tub. The steam room and sauna are nice. The grounds were well kept. The beds are TERRIBLE!!! Came home with a very bad back ache. The rooms are showing some wear and tear. Sofa and chairs are worn out - fabric is faded and has holes in it and had a funny smell. Carpets need to be replaced with tile!! There are lots of restaraunts close as well as a Publix and Walmart.

Its a fairly big complex of 5 story condos. We stayed on top flor in 3 bedroom with two baths. For what it is its ok. We wanted to be outside of Disney so having few kids and a van it worked just fine. Its about 10 min drive to Disney. Its not luxury. Tip-bring your own sheets or wash the ones you have on your beds. When we opened beds up-tons of hair - yuck!!! We asked for clean sheet but because it was late-no housekeeping available to give them to you, we ended up washing them that night. Infiniti pool-you have to be a really good at taking pictures to get that one image that they have on the web-pool is small and very close to a street-so no- it does have an end. Rooms are good in size and master bathroom is really big, so we did enjoy our space. Front desk was not very much help at all, they were just there and thats it. Place has a night security. Over all it was a good value for us, but i definetly would bring some beddings if you got a way to do it

Based on the overall good reviews on this hotel we decided to try a new place instead of where we usually stay. We booked through a discount website and got a great deal, $60 per night. One of the recurring comments was that the beds were very uncomfortable but the hotel always responded to this by saying they were 90% complete in a bed replacement program. Due to these comments I made sure to ask if we were in one of the condos with the new beds. I was told at check-in that we were in building 5 and she was "pretty sure" that our building was one of the first ones replaced. We dropped off our stuff and went for dinner and a few groceries and didn't check the beds before we actually went to bed. Well, I can honestly say that they were the WORST beds I have ever slept in. It was like sleeping on a board that was covered in very noisy plastic. If those are their "new" beds then they got ripped off. Either invest money in decent beds or get some feather tops to help what you have. We actually went out and bought four new pillows too as the pillows were rock hard as well. The free wi-fi was not working when we arrived but they showed up two hours after our call to front desk and fixed it. It did keep going out through the week but my husband had watched and figured out how to fix it. Our fridge was broken and everything we put in it froze so that was really handy. It was never fixed during our stay. The carpets were extremely stained. They need to rip it out and put in tile. I didn't find it overly clean either, so don't know what we pay a $65 cleaning fee for. It was in a good location, about 20 mins to Disney and a half hour to Universal. Quiet with lots of restaurants and a Target minutes away. Would we stay there again? No...and mostly because of the beds. If you're looking for a spacious condo for a good price then this would qualify.

Regrettably, you apparently did not have the typical expected high service and high quality experience our team at Caribe Cove strives to provide on a daily basis.

Having comfortable and clean rooms is part of the backbone of our resort. We always appreciate guest feedback and will continue to work to uphold high standards of guest relations, and cleanliness for the guest to have an incredible and memorable experience at Caribe Cove. We also will be reaching out to you individually to hopefully win back your confidence in our property.

They difficult when you give a five star rating is that you never know what you may encounter in the future.

In the past I have given a few five star reviews but in comparison to at least a few of them the Caribe Cove is one step up.

Check in was smooth (despite a slight mistake on my part) and the cleaning / resort fee (which I was expecting) was explained clearly to us up front.

The condo itself was stunning. Large, airy and clean.

Furnishings were of a great standard and absolutely no problems with matresses (as have been reported elsewhere on TA).

There was a wide variety of cable channels on the 3 TV's, free DVD hire and quick wifi access (plenty of bandwidth for me to have facetime conversations with home).

The resort itself has a great location just off Highway 192 (certainly better in my opinion than staying off I-Drive) and there were plenty of restaurants only a couple of miles away.

A very, very minor gripe was that the complimentary coffee in the clubhouse could have been better but it certainly didn't detract from an overall wonderful resort.

Room Tip: Building 2 had great access to the clubhouse / pool.

We certainly appreciate your review and thank you for taking the time to post.

We agree that our location is ideal for staying in Orlando and that being away from International Drive is certainly a positive.

We will look at the coffee in the clubhouse and see if we can improve that!

Once again, many thanks and hope to see you again soon.

Check in on 7th Oct was quick and easy and we made our way to Block 3 (4th floor) a 3 bed apartment, with 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and utility room with washing machine and dryer. The apartment was immaculate with 3 TVs, plenty of towels (inc. pool towels) and a fully equipped kitchen with full size fridge/freezer. Also plenty of parking at the apartment and at reception / pool / spa area. The apartments are at the quieter west end of US192 approx. 10 mins from Walt Disney World and easy access via I4 to SeaWorld, Universal and Busch Gardens (Tampa). There is also a WalMart close by (turn left towards US27 as you head towards US192) and a Target on US192 towards WDW. There are also several greta restaurants nearby (Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse). The pool area and clubhouse are clean and functional.
Absolutely no complaints and would recommend to all especially if you want a home from home and away from the restrictive nature of a hotel room. Great value too. We'll be back the next time we return to Orlando.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Caribe Cove with 3 generations of our family. Our 3-bedroom unit was on the 3rd floor of Building 1 and was most satisfactory. The interior was identical to the photos on the resort's website -- a nice, restful Caribbean theme. Everything was exactly as described, which is a nice surprise considering how so many places are less than truthful in their glowing descriptions. We were concerned about the possibility of bad beds because of some reviews to that effect, so we brought inflatable mattresses "just in case". Happily, they were not needed as our unit had all new replacement mattresses. They were somewhat firmer than ours at home, but had nice pillow tops so we all were comfortable. (If the mattress replacement project at this resort ever gets completed, there will be almost nothing that anyone can complain about! Every 1-star reviewer seems to have been in one of the units with older beds and were understandably unhappy.) The price at this resort is unbeatable -- we paid just over $100 per night for the 3-bedroom condo and didn't even book through Hotwire or Priceline. Now THAT'S a deal! We'll definitely be returning for future stays.

Room Tip: Building 1 is closest to the road and there's some traffic noise when you're on the screen p...
