Wow! so my family(my husband my 98yr old daugher and 5 yr old son) stayed at sunlake, now I came on here a week before our vacation and was bitting my nails at some of the things I was reading almost cancelled my reservation but my husband said no lets just see how it is. Our stay was Aug 11 - 15 and wow! we got room 3164 we walked in was happily surprise it was clean spacious leather seats no carpet in the living and dining room and they upgraded us for free to a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom unit I mean wow! the carpet was clean the walls were clean everything was top notch, Now I have 2 small complains very small the sink in the master bedroom was stuck shut and the telephone worked but the number they give us was not the correct one. I called the tuesday morning and as for someone to come out and fixed the sink they said they will send someone right over, no one came so I had to do it myself. But other wise than that it was beautiful tv in each room with dvd player. also my kids got the mickey mouse room so they were happy. So out of ten I give in 9.

We booked this resort through Bookit.com and got a great rate of $89/night for a three bedroom condo. When we got there we were assigned room 3158A. BOOK THIS ROOM, you will not be disappointed! It was huge, and absolutely beautiful. There was a big screen TV in the living room, and a 20" in the master and in the kids room. My only complaints with this unit were 1) there were no paper towels in the kitchen or sponges/dish soap - you have to buy your own and 2) there was no TV in the second bedroom. Both no big deals! My only other complaint was when we tried to extend our stay by one more night, our unit was unavailable, so we had to switch rooms. They showed us pictures of the room we would be going to, and it looked great. However when we got there - not so much! The decor was awful, and there was only the one small TV in the living room - no other TV's anywhere in any bedroom. This was unit 3148B - I DO NOT recommend this one! Other than that, we loved it for the price, and will be going back! One other word of advice - do not shop at the "Marketplace" in the strip mall with the reservation center by the condos - they are horribly overpriced! Drive two more blocks west to the Publix - MUCH more reasonable, everyday prices!

Do not book this place unless you are used to staying in a run down building. We booked this hotel and based on the pics from one area of it the building looks good. But looks can be deceiving!! We pulled up thinking it would be a great resort only to find out it is a couple of OLD rundown buildings!! I had to give highers stars due to if you give it all 1s bookit doesnt post it. I go to the check in office and tell them that this is not how it was described to me.I mean the "lake" is a dried up mud hole. Then the woman tells me she doesnt care and that after 30 mins of trying to talk to her she tells me she is canceling it and before I had another room this woman was braggin on how she has canceled it and the odds of me finding another hotel would be slim (and hoped I didnt find one) but that wasnt her problem it was mine. Which luckily I found one on disney property where I was very very please with.But the buildings are old, blinds falling down a couple was in the middle of a very heated and verbal argument outside of there room. If you want to stay in a place like this more power to you but if you are here to experience disney or any other attraction. Spend a lil more and stay in a better location of town or on Disney property.

We paid $380 including tax for four nights. Inexpensive, just the way I like it. We booked it with an upgrade bonus and received a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo. There's really 2 functional bedrooms for adults. The 3rd bedroom has two twin beds for children. They sleep like cardboard boxes. I know. I slept on one, my wife and daughter slept on the other. It had two screened back porches overlooking a swamp(I mean this in a good way it was beautiful in the morning drinking coffee and watching the sunrise. There was a $500 security deposit because they have some nice televisions in the condos. We had NO problems or hassles with the $500 or extra fees. They held the amount on our credit card and it was removed as soon as we checked out.

You get what you pay for. Check out my pictures. The place was in fair shape and reasonably clean. It had stains on the carpet and some louvers on the blinds were missing. Black smudges on some of the corners and an interior door handle was loose. Just little details that get overlooked at a resort of this price. When you pay big $$$ those details should be addressed, not here. Everything worked well, the bathrooms were fully functional and clean, the parking area seemed quite secure. There was a tiny no frills pool. I was disappointed by this but we never had time to swim there anyway. I got what I paid for and it was a very economical way to see Disney World.

I recommend Sun Lake for those with a large party and/or on a budget. It's a modest resort and a modest price only minutes from Disney World, literally across the street. You have a grocery store and 3-4(Carraba's, Cracker Barrel, Giordelli's) restaurants a few hundred feet away along with a lot of souvenir shops.
