“disappointed second stay.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 weeks ago

We stayed here in 2008 when it was under Mike Ditka Runaway Beach Club. It was beautiful just like the pictures on the web site. We just recently stayed on Aug9th -Aug 16th 2014. All the amenities in the room were changed, no more bed spreads, décor was bare bones, pots and pans usable at best, it was very run down and not very clean. Should I mention the cockroaches that were killed. We asked to be moved and they did to a much cleaner villa but still amenities were run down. No more towels at poolside had to bring your own and not all of the pool chairs had cushions and no tiki bar. Very disappointed in stay we thought we had a place to come to for years, I guess its true when they say things do not last forever.

The only two things I did not like about the RBC is that the tiki bar was closed and the kids pool was under construction. We went back in 2012. I reviewed this hotel on a couple of sites. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was fun. The location was ok. Parking was good. I really liked the fact it had dishes and pots and pans. Lots of closet space too. The pool furniture like chairs were outdated and old, some even broken. Staff was friendly and the place had a gate.

I needed a place to stay on short notice and came across this place. We had a large group and I called to book a 3 bedroom villa, I spoke with a woman at the front desk and she was AWESOME. She was very pleasant and attentive to our needs. Their check-in is at 4PM but we arrived much earlier and while our room wasn't ready she did put a rush on the room and we were able to use the pool area and other amenities while we waited. When we went to the condo it was very nice and big, for the price we paid I really couldn't complain. I needed extra linens and pillows and I called the front pretty late because we were out all day, the gentleman at the front was extremely nice and explained that it was a busy weekend but was able to allocate two extra sheets and two extra pillows which was great. I did not have a negative experience with the staff and the kids loved the pool area, there are two pools side by side one for children and a deeper one, also a hot tub. We had access to the gym which was nice and the basketball court was indoor and not noisy at all. They do not offer daily room service but it was fine, I wouldn't call it a luxury villa but very fair and much better than a lot of the stuff that's out there. Also as an added bonus there was free wifi throughout the entire place and in the rooms. The drive to Disney and Universal was between 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

We booked this condo to stay in with our family of 6.
It wasn't the best place we have every been in, but not bad at all.

Lots of space for all of us, we spent most of our days at the parks or shopping. So we weren't there to hang out in the condo anyway. The staff was very nice, the kids enjoyed the pool.
Beds were comfy and clean. I would recommend leaving the air on all night in order to keep it cooler during the day. It would get a bit warm do to all the windows. I say the down fall was no cleaning supplies in the condo, like a mop or vacuum to clean up with. We simply went to the super center and bought our own paper towels and etc to make it easier on us.

We stayed in May 2014. The place needs to be cleaned. Our room had dirty couches, rugs and the white coffee table in the living room was filthy along with the table and chairs in the dining area. The whole place smelled like mold that had been covered up by some sort of spray. Toilets had brown water in them in the morning. Sink in the kitchen was leaking and then it broke off. Pool was ice cold. For less money you can stay at a nice place that serves a breakfast. We have stayed there two other times a year ago and it was fine. It is also under construction. They were taking out windows in some of the other buildings and you could see mold on the walls.
It said no pets but there was dog poop under our table at the pool. I feel like I just threw out hard earned money.

we rented this place through Groupon, We had a 2 bedrooms ground floor unit. the resort is not extravagant or pretentious but, in my opinion, perfect for the price. It is not a full service resort with restaurants on site or room service, If you want real luxury full resort don't stay here...The villa was HUGE, 2 Bedrooms, 2 full baths, Master bedroom was nice and master bath was clean!...Second bedroom had 2 queens beds, full kitchen, full size washer and dryer......They do have a small tiki bar by the pool. The pool is nice and relaxing, and they had a separate area for the little kids.... One of the bonuses about this property is locations, there is a Walmart and Grocery store with in walking distance to the resort.....There were a few issues with the room, our tv's did not work and the beds were uncomfortable very noisy mattresses, but tv's issues were fixed in a quick..... Staff was very friendly......they do whatever they could to make our stay great......specialy Staci on reception really nice person.... Parking wasn't an issue......We'll stay there again, certainly recommend to friends.

Room Tip: “Currently under construction, so inquire about that, Ask for a room facing the lake.

Worst resort I've ever been to.The customer service is horrible, the rooms are not worth the amount you have to spend to stay there, the ac was broken, honestly I will not be staying there ever again. The "manager" personally went to settle a noise complaint, and the way she handled it was unprofessional she started by yelling at the guest (resolving a noise complaint?) And when she was told she was unprofessional and lacked customer service skills she reacted by getting in the guest's face, with her hand held back like she was going to hit him, yelling at the top of her lungs saying things a manager shouldn't say, and to top it off her anger set of a maintenance guy who was her "bf" and he got in the guest face.
