“Some good. Some bad.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

Stayed in Building 15 which is a new one apparently. The service and room was fine. My problem came when we tried to take the shuttle to Disney. There were four of us, myself, my husband, my 9 year old, and my 6 month old with her stroller. What they DON'T tell you when you try to make the shuttle is that it hits the Radisson BEFORE it even gets to the stop at the Village. We were 20 minutes early and the bus was not only late but it was PACKED. So they sent a van. Not only did we NOT get on the van because so many other people who got there AFTER us rushed into it- we had to wait 20 minutes MORE for the next van to get there. I would not go back to this place if you paid me. It's not worth it. Thankfully it was a gift for us to stay here and we didn't have to spend a dime otherwise I would have been highly angry.

Room Tip: The chances of getting connected rooms if you request 2 are slim to none. Good luck.

We had a very pleasant stay at Vacation Village. We bought this as a RCI extra vacation sale so the price was right. We were in building 10 and the cleaning crew seemed to be around cleaning something beyond the normal everyday. Unit was very quiet and well appointed. Beds could use some upgrading. The only real negative was the pathetic wifi service...we just gave up toward the end of our stay. We did lots of walking and enjoyed the short nature trails scattered about the grounds. BBQ grills (gas) were about the best we have experience at time-share resorts...again, well maintained. We would certainly consider returning again.

Room Tip: Try to get upper floors.

Wonderful time here for one week. Very easy to locate theme parks etc. The services are great, the walking trail is easy. Close to shopping areas and other recreational activities. The rooms are well equipped with stoves, refrigs, and all the utensils one needs. WiFi services seem to drop off and the TV stations available are limited.

Vacation Village at Parkway is right outside of Disney World. They offer several shuttles to and from Epcot, saving us the $17 parking charge each day. They even offer a shuttle to Universal Studios every day. It's a large resort and they're still building. The units were well kept and they even provided midweek maid service. A lot of folks fly in and don't rent cars, so they even provide shuttles to the grocery store and downtown Celebration. Great value if you can book it Last Minute or as an Extra Vacation on RCI.

Stayed here for a week, Jan 9-16th, had 2, 2 bedroom, 2 bath condos. Called the week before and asked for top floor of building 15 for view of fireworks. They were able to place us in 15 and 14. Arrived at about 6:45pm, quick check in, charged one resort fee of $25 instead of 2, so bonus. No hassle of timeshare when getting parking passes. Resort is quite large so map definitely handy. We were in buildings 14 - 15, top floor. They are A & B lock off units, common entrance and two separate inner doors. Flat screen TVs, furniture kind of hurting, but functional for our needs. Aside from the equipped kitchen, the only thing provided was salt and pepper and coffee filters. Air and heat worked well. Excellent hot water and pressure. Older fridge and stove, but functional. Didn't use hot tub in room. Used hot tub and pool in building across from us. Hot tub was hot and pool was heated which was great. There was a room tidy up service midweek, but towel exchange was also available. Overall would go back and would recommend resort to all... great for families and retirees. Free shuttles to parks were sufficient to save on parking.

I read reviews and decided that for the price, this was our best bet. We needed a private room, a pull out couch for my sister, and a kitchen or kitchenette for breakfast each morning, and we got it. The rooms were fine, and clean enough. There were only two downsides. 1) at check in the staff were pretty unprofessional. One staff member kept making the other laugh, to the point where he was too distracted to efficiently check us in. Not a huge deal, but we were tired and wanted to get to our room. Then, before you can be issued a parking pass you have to refuse a guy at customer relations for a timeshare meeting over and over and over. Again, just not what you feel like doing at the end of a long day of travel.
2) The room wasn't cleaned once. We knew it wasn't cleaned regularly by the previous reviews, but were told it would be cleaned once. It wasn't. But it was too near the end of our stay to complain about it.
So, it is a perfectly fine place to sleep in between activities. Just know in advance that service isn't necessarily top notch.
