We camp a lot and this is just your typical KOA. No trees, no shade whatsoever except for the sites where the permanent residents live. All the other sites are filled with $500,000 RV's with Canada plates. No children spotted at any time. I saw one reviewer try to compare it to Disney Fort Wilderness. Absolutely no comparison. You have way more space at Fort Wilderness. You have trees (shade) and you have all the benefits of staying at a Disney resort, like FREE parking at the parks. You'll pay $15 each day you visit from the KOA (unless you have annual passes to Disney, then parking is free). Nothing really wrong with the KOA. It was clean. Pool area was good, although the hot tub was inoperable one night of four. You can get to a lot of "shopping" if that's your thing. Grocery stores, Sam's club, Target, etc. all close by along with hundreds of crappy tourist restaurants. Best restaurant near KOA? Waffle House. You can walk there and it's hard to make breakfast at home for the same price. The location is on the back side of an ugly strip mall. In fact you can see the back side of the strip mall from your site with no trees. You can also hear sirens wailing up and down the major highway (US192) that runs in front of the strip mall. You can also hear the idiot 20-somethings roaring up and down the road, particularly at night, in their hot rods or their motorcycles. They do have fire rings which Disney does not. But at $8.50 for about 20 minutes worth of wood, I don't see that as a benefit unless you bring your own wood. Also, the restroom were clean, but toilets and showers are separate. So you have to go in the restroom to brush your teeth, shave, etc. The go shower in another room. Another advantage to Disney. All Fort Wilderness "comfort stations" have toilets, sinks and showers IN THE SAME ROOM. Of course if you are the typical person staying here in your $500,000 motorhome, you won't be using their showers anyway. Overall OK and would stay again IF Disney Fort Wilderness was not available.
